One main issue I’ve being running into lately is: you get a route, there are a number of deliveries that are priority and give you a time you just meet before they are considered late, problem is they are scattered all over the route which means that you have to deliver to those first, but by doing so you are throwing the order in disarray which will add more time and this will guarantee even more late deliveries

Let us also not forget, that when Amazon demands you deliver on time, they don't mean on time. They mean early. If you deliver a package at 5:00 and it was due at 5:00, it will be marked LATE and you will get dinged the same as if you delivered it 2 hours late.

essentially what amazon says to flex drivers is there is never a reason not to deliver a package. even if you mark it unable and call driver support theyll still drop your rating and youll get an email saying 2 of 38 packages weren't delivered. In the real world scenario,their are plenty of times where its literally impossible to make a delivery for any number of reasons

Cancel culture. I drove for Uber for years. Had 7896 rides with a 4.96 rating. Tried to log on one day and couldn't. I called Uber and they told me that due to a serious incident, I was no longer welcome to drive with them. I asked them what did I do? They told me that it was private and their decision was final and hung up on me. Customers lie to get free rides.

this is bananas! you made me curious so i checked because i havent looked at standing details in a long time. i have ONE issue. there was 1 of 13 packages not received back in May [ i mostly just do grocery orders ] and yet my standing is about at the halfway mark BARELY in the "good" category. so basically ONE issue with ONE missing package i probably accidentally left on the bottom of the cart back at whole foods [ always double check! ] ... and im at basically at a 50% standing score even though ive successfully delivered countless packages... yikes amazon...

I know this is an older video, but I kind of dealt with similar deliveries last night. I picked up a 3 1/2 hour block and all the delivery times were listed as 11am-1pm, but my block was 330-7. So, some of them were to businesses that were closed. I did not want to take them back to the station so I figured out other ways to deliver them....one I left in a company vehicle and the other I wrapped in a plastic bag and left it by the door. Another person had their whole yard fenced and gated with a lock on it, so I had to leave it by the gate but it was raining. I sent a text, but I am afraid she is going to complain.

Today i got deactivated for taking picture with facemask. They asked for proof and i sent them my drivers license and told it was genuine mistake since i drive with facemask all the time. Unbelievable! After one year of pandemic service and high customer rating this is how they treat you! I never in my wildest dream thought they would fire me for uploading picture with facemask! I'm just glad I was able to get my account back. Wow!!! Guys this company needs a thorough lesson or else just relish the modern corporate slavery culture kudos *BRAVENOTCH*

I hate delivering to giant apartment complexes that have underground parking with no parking on the outside. I parked my car in the garage and I couldn’t get back to my car until someone let me in. I followed someone inside with my car and it took my like 30 minutes to get back to my car. I couldn’t even deliver the package because I didn’t have a code for the lockers. I was so frustrated it took me longer to deliver my block.

The same thing happened to me during a block. I had 2 more apartment complexes to do after that. I gave up and took the rest of the packages back to the warehouse. I was done with that block and took that ding.

I can't help but over think every little thing so I was hoping maybe you could put together a video on all things apartments. I’m learning that many drivers don’t like working for Amazon flex, it just pays pretty well and it’s worth the headache. I’m currently in fair as well, I missed two blocks and had proof of why I was late and spoke to support. Was told it happens and they’ll have it in the notes. 2 days later it’s reflected in my standings.

I deadass got dinged for a block that Amazon canceled on me... they shut down the facility I was going to pick up at due to inclement weather (read: 4 feet of snow dropped on the Portland area in all of an hour and a half, and not even the blue badges could make it in for shift change), canceled that block, and then penalized me for failing to cancel within the acceptable window. That's one that I will forever hold against them, especially considering escalating the issue resulted in Amazon doubling down

Amazon is a joke. Everything is the fault of the driver, even if it isn't, you'll get penalized and eventually deactivated for all kinds of things completely out of your control. Calling and emailing "support" does no good. I had multiple routes where it was obvious someone at the warehouse messed up the route I was assigned, and there would be 1 package like 50-60 miles away from where all the other packages were delivered. You're expected to attempt delivery of every package in your route. I NEVER did those oddball deliveries, and if that was my only return, I just brought it back to the warehouse the next day when I had another route. the company is so rich and disorganized, when I started, there was one location I would show up to all the time and they would send home hundreds of drivers paid in full for doing nothing. Went on for 2 months straight.

I got a couple dings for not completing a delivery on time. Well the delivery said deliver before 4pm before the place closed. I picked the block up at 6pm. So I had to take it back to the center. Another was for marking undeliverable and the drop off said do not deliver unless you can leave with a doorman or receptionist. So now I leave it no matter what because I don’t want to get dinged. I just take a pic that I dropped it off. If it gets stolen it gets stolen. Haven’t got dinged since.

Had one package that was undeliverable because it was in a locked apartment complex. I really don't get why that one counted against me either because even the flex app had the hours to the mailroom listed, which had closed an hour before my shift even started. No clue why they'd still include that in my route. Then I had a block later that week timed perfectly to the gps route they wanted me to go. Problem was the road they were counting on me taking was closed, ended up being about a 20 minute detour around that and caused my last few packages to be marked late. Even with reporting that road closure and still getting the rest of my packages done ASAP it still counted heavily against me and put me in to at risk. Even weeks later I'm still trying to get to fair, pretty scary that you still have marks for late deliveries years later omg.

Mike, You're a smart fella, not your typical P&D driver, and here I am asking myself a very simple question, that may render the whole concern about deactivation rather moot. Many people out here in gig world like to look at their gross pay per hour, to gauge whether they've made money. Whereas I happen to lean towards considering all of the expenses that go into using my own vehicle for the job, and how much total revenue I've taken in on per mile of driving. Considering that I am not driving on the highway to make these deliveries; my gas mileage is going to average 18mpg, sorry I don't have a Prius. With the price of fuel approaching $5.00/gallon, or 28 cents per mile, not to mention my cost for insurance, oil changes, tires and brakes, overall wear and tear. If you manage to bring in $2/mile and deduct $0.50-$0.75/mile in expenses; does it still make sense to do this gig? Have I overstated the expenses?

The manager made me scan the big block bag since they didn't want to deal with the 9 packages missing. She said "deliver what you have" well now I went down from great to fair for 9 issues. Amazon flex should do something about that!

Hi Mike, love your videos and valuable info. Been doing DD, Shipt, and UE since July, FT, until I can eventually find another “good” FT job. Lost my FT job last year during pandemic. Damn is it just here in SE FL or are other people seeing countless $2.50-$5.50 orders coming out on primarily DD. Driving me crazy. Some days orders roll in at least $7-$8 for a few miles, or $10-$15, only going out of my “zone” by a few minutes. Some days orders roll in nicely I’m am fir breakfast rush, then 11-2 for lunch, and 5-9 for dinner. Thankfully I have multiple apps going but still have seen a dramatic decrease. Maybe too many people doing same thing I’m doing, until they find new permanent FT jobs? Any suggestions be appreciated. Fri-Sun are great, but Mon-Wed been rough

I’m having the same exact problems with this app, plus issues with the app itself, one time i have 23 packages not delivered to cystomer, i’m suppose to deliver it to a locker, but the locker is full called the driver support and told me to return it to the pick up location, i even told her to put a note on that, and guess what, i’m at risk. Frustrating and unappreciative of the honest work you do. Doesn’t matter if u go above and beyond.

I'm a former Lyft driver I was just deactivated permanently today from the platform for an alleged discrimination claim which never happened that was no argument at no type of altercation whatsoever as claimed by Lyft according to the passenger. Therefore I have no video for this and they waited 11 davs to contact me so the footage would have been overwritten anyway, even if I had it they still will not tell me which ride it was claim to protect Rider privacy. I've worked for live 7 and 1/2 years and I do this full time now for the past 4 years and this is how I make money until today. I was really pleased with *Gratecyber* service cause I thought I lost my job already but they bring smile back to my face am so glad I encounter your great work

I added Flex in late September and hate to say it, but Im in the "At Risk" camp as well. Excellent across the board on Delivery Quality, but 5 dings on Reliability. Early on Id have issues with signing on/app issues and could not get help from support or the station, so Id just leave or eventually the app would work and Id be signed in as late. Learning curve! Now? Im piecing together solid blocks - not even concerned with earnings that much - just to improve the ratings.

Great info. What about the deliveries done for Food Banks to deliver free food packages to the community? We have that in LA. I was told in these food banks not to return the food boxes if I had extra ones or I'm unable to deliver them. They keep coming up on my itinerary as undelivered packages and automatically erase after the new Flex week begins. But, should I call support for them to take care of this? Or will it not matter at all?

I have been driving for Uber eats. All of a sudden no requests for deliveries for 2 days now. I was pretty busy. Now no. I called Uber many times to the point of escalating the issue. Do not know what to do. They said they will look at it within 24 hours. I reloaded the Uber app. Rebooted the phone several times. Do not know what to do.🤷🏻♂️

My standing is 'Above Standards' 😂 the best it can be.. At once it was lower, even poor. I made big complaints as the 2-3 incidents affecting my standing was either not my fault or out of my control. Flex is cruel. You have to stand up for yourself. I have emailed Bezos twice to get things resolved

If I deliver anywhere sketchy, and it is between 9am and 8pm, I text the customer to let them know that the package is there or I ring the doorbell. If it is a high-crime area, people really appreciate it.

I signed up to the Amazon flex program 2 weeks ago to earn some extra cash, working it around my main day job; I haven’t been able to do my first block yet, due to my full-time job schedule; is there a time limit to do a first block??, would Amazon deactivate the account if the first block isn’t selected in a period of time. All these gig platforms penalize drivers for things beyond the driver’s control, like porch pirates, scamming customers, etc. This only works for the platform as long as they have willing recruits. When they go through that pool, their business model collapses.

I just got on Amazon Flex 2 weeks ago unfortunately the delivery area Amazon Flex put me in is 100miles round trip from Loveland Colorado to Denver. Then I'd have to drive more miles in the Denver Metro area deliverying Amazon Flex packages 📦. So just not worth my time & Gas and wear & tear on my vehicle.

Today i got deactivated for taking picture with facemask, They asked for proof and i sent them my drivers license and told it was genuine mistake since i drive with facemask all the time. Unbelievable! After one year of pandemic service and high customer rating this is how they treat you! I never in my wildest dream thought they would fire me for uploading picture with facemask! I'm just glad I was able to get my account back Wow!! Guys this company needs a thorough lesson or else just relish the modern corporate slavery culture kudos *BRAVENOTCH*

omg this is my problem but I can't reach customer cause it's 4 am. unaccessible but attempted whole heartedly ...this is making me angry, I'm trying so hard!

ove had packages late before 8 even get them! or my block is 4 hours and past when the packages are supposed to be delivered...how does this seem fair?

I was deactivated by Uber. I should have deactivated them. They suck bilge water. Lyft is so much better, better passengers. Supplementing that with Roadie and Point Pickup up delivery, and I am happy. How does Uber stay in business losing billions of dollars every quarter?
