Nah you didn’t understand Monika at all she’s perfectly sane and fine it’s just she was literally in the most diabolical situation of all time imagine you find out everything is fake you’re some background tutorial character in this basic type dating sim where your existence is only guaranteed as long as the player is playing the game and when not it feels like indescribable torture when the game is off as you literally feel yourself and your reality being ripped to shreds and blended together for essentially all an entenity like hell because it’s a game and eventually the player will quit forever and suddenly you get godlike powers to edit your universe I’d try and contact the one person who could be my escape or at the very least constantly keep them around so the game is never shut off so you don’t have to be in that situation too no matter what it took and so would almost anyone just like you can’t fault someone who ate another person when they were both starving for weeks one died and the other knew he wouldn’t live if he didn’t do it, it’s a case of temporary insanity anybody would go insane in her shoes in fact I think she handled it well all things considered considering what sayori does if you make her gain sentience instantly by deleting Monika.

Here’s a few other that can pretty high scores. Mikasa Ackerman: 4/10. Fine enough, but insanely protective and terrifying when mad. Lifts 1.2 tons for fun. Annie Leonhart: 7/10. Treat her like a human being and you should be fine? But accounting for her titan form and what she’s willing to do to people that get in her way, a 7 is justified. Mukuro Ikusaba: Junko’s sister/10. Toko Fukawa: 10/10. If you’re a boy, you’re dead. If you’re a girl, you’ll probably be okay? Gender dependent. Maki Harukawa/Peko Pekoyama: 4/10. Pretty much both here for the same reasons as Mikasa, minus being an Ackerman.
