O puttar! You have rekindled my younger days' memories when I would buy matar & kulchas worth fifteen naya paise at my neighbourhood vendor's thela. It's still my fave lunch whenever I go to Delhi. Sheer nostalgia! Esp the way you mixed matar with chutney, pyaz, tamatar, imli paani and special masala! Drooling all the way.

@@preetgill6690 way back in 2007, we, a group of civil servants had been to University of Toronto's Rottman school of management in torreno( our guide told us how to pronounce Toronto) and found, it abounds in people from all over the world- india, Bangladesh, Pakistan, African nations and so on. Toronto is truly a melting pot of cultures. I am sure Kulchas, matar mix are freely available in Little India! So you don't miss amritsari kulchas, maah ki daal and what have you.

Though I am pure Gujarati Surati but my first love is mattara kulcha as grown up with Punjabi..family!!no taste can beat this dish. infact still traditional dish is alive without cheese paneer and butter which is still not fliped with unhealthy things. Just wonderful. In this masala we do add dry ginger powder also. Recipe is just fabulous.
