Ya Gurl....Tammy couldn't make the trip. From Kentucky to Texas.. Ain't no way. No one can convince me that she wants to lose weight...and with Jerry in her life...forget it. She's got 5 years of eating all she wants without restrictions. She doesn't care! My friend was an alcoholic and the Dr. told him that he only had a few years left if he drank the way he did. He told the Dr. I would rather enjoy my life drinking than to live a long life without alcohol. He died very young. 30. I think Tammy has that same mindset.

Yes y’all, I’m aware of Tammy’s new doctor in Kentucky (I mentioned Dr. Proctor as well as her new doctor, forgive me I can’t remember his name rn). I’m aware that Dr. Now is in Texas and she is in Kentucky. If I were a family member, and she could make the trip there, I’d send her to Dr. Now. I still believe she could really use a doctor like Dr. Now so I’m crossing my fingers her new doctor is like him. But again, she’s proven several times over that she CAN lose weight, but she chooses not to and those are the type of people that you just can’t help. I’ll be the first to admit I’ve had a bad relationship with food. I’m a bad stress eater and boredom eater. But I want to correct and have a healthier relationship with food and it’s difficult. Dr. Proctor said something along the lines of “I’m not going to want this more than you do” and everyone wants to see her succeed (at least I hope people do or did in the beginning) but you can’t force someone to do something. And I heavily agree that having Jerry in the picture will not help since he’s proven in the last episode to be an enabler (why would you bring candy to someone’s house that’s on a weight loss journey and ask if they want some?!). Trudy, I’m sorry for the loss of your friend.

I have always had a struggle with my weight... chubby fat skinny ( anorexia) back to chubby fat.. Never been just right. My BMI now is 28 and says I'm overweight and I finally picked a realistic number on the scale that I can live with. If I go over I just eat less until the number is reached. If I weigh less I eat more...I only allow myself to go over by 3#. It's a hell of a lot easier to lose 3 pounds than 75 ( which I've done) I'm also 74 so meh... ha. I gave up being a supermodel long ago. I would love for Tammy to lose weight ( for her), but so far she doesn't appear to want to. And yes the reality of that is very sad. Good talking to you...

I’ll forever be grateful for the moment when my Mum told me I was looking a little ‘heavier’ than usual. The comment hurt originally, but after taking a step back and reevaluating what I was doing to gain weight and the unhealthy habits I had picked up, I managed to sort my shit out. Since then I’m happy to have lost 9lbs in 3 weeks, and am continuing on my weight loss journey. Losing weight doesn’t happen suddenly, but no one can lose that weight for you besides yourself, and having the right support and people around you will definitely help you along the way. You made an excellent observation: Amy has self-awareness 👏 Tammy, on the other hand, complete lack of self-awareness. Until Tammy becomes self-aware, she'll always be unable to gain any perspective outside of her own 🤷🏼‍♀️ I hope Tammy gets the therapy she needs for whatever emotional traumas are still ailing her. That is, literally, all it would take for her to turn it around. I watched the first episode out of curiosity and now I’m invested in their journey and Tammy is pissing me off. She can’t take criticism and she acts like she doesn’t know why she’s not losing weight when she’s just so stuck in her ways. She needs therapy, they both do but mostly Tammy cause even if she gets the surgery she won’t be able to keep the weight off. I don’t wanna see her eat herself to death but that’s exactly where it’s going until she steps the fuck up. She has all the support in the world from her family and strangers on the internet, I know it’s not easy but it doesn’t seem like she’s putting in any work she’s just pitying herself and it needs to stop. Addictions are hard to kick but she can’t rely on everyone else when she’s the one who needs to get better. I can’t imagine the pain her bones feel, hips down and the spine... and I’m not being cruel when I say this but I always wanted a St Bernard growing up, my folks always said no, whelp I’m “adulting” and all so I decided to go to a rescue to see about getting on, pictures and movies are cute but real life is something completely different, right? I couldn’t fathom how big their bowel movements were, I gagged - no I flat out threw up, size of a 2 year old not their pooh but an actual 2 year old. I ended up getting a beagle. Wee pup wee nuggets. Can you imagine the output after ingesting 10 thousand calories a day? That would be exhausting getting that out of you.. I pray she gets it together.

I've watched a lot of My 600 Pound Life and Tammy reminds me of those candidates who don't actually want to lose weight but act like they do so when they inevitably fail they can justify their bad habits by placing the blame elsewhere

Tammy gained 50 pounds in a month and ate 32 meals in 2 or 3 days! She does NOT care about losing weight. I was bulimic as a teen, I get eating disorders. Tammy was not happy about Amy having a baby bc Tammy wants the 100% attention. It's ridiculous. What people say is not hate....it's tough love! I live in KY....I have no problem telling Tammy to her face that she isn't losing weight bc she's not trying.

Everyone needs to stop helping Tammy. When she has to get up to get her own bottled water and peanut butter, cook her own meals, or walk up 3 steps (or attempt to wheel herself up a ramp), only then will she realize how hard it is to care for her. She acts like an entitled spoiled brat and expects everyone to care for her like she’s royalty. Before I found out she was older then Amy, I thought she was like 10 yrs younger because of her behavior. When she guilted Amy and Michael for talking about it being time for her to move out “behind her back” and said it’s up to her if it’s time or not, I wanted to find out where they live and throw her stuff out of their house for Amy. And don’t get me started on her jealousy over the baby and Amy having success with her weight loss and the life she’s always wanted. I guarantee she walks around when no one’s home-someone has to answer the door for all those deliveries she’s getting

@@TrudyPatootie there's some exeptions like hormonal but obesety is not a disabilty in the way like diabetis type 1 is, type 2 is up for discusion but it takes a lot of choices to get there. That's enabling.. That's even more dangerous in the long haul

Actually Amy and Mike live on one side of a duplex and Tammy lives on the other side. They don't all live together. Tammy gets her junk food delivered ro her so she can hide it from them but Amy takes Tammys trash out and she finds cady bar wrappers. Tammy orders hers on line so Mike and Amy can't see what she's eating. And I do believe that Tammy is very envious of Amy!!

Amy lost some weight then was foolish and got pregnant too early or she would have done very well with her weight loss and got skin removal . The whaler just is going to eat herself to death period . Early on I felt bad for her but with every thing she does and how she treats those as around her .. it's just disgusting .

One day I ate around 4,000 calories, I was physically ill. I can’t even imagine eating twice that every single day. It must take years to work yourself up to eating that amount of food. I can imagine it will take her a long time to work down to eating around 2,000-3,000 cals/day

I think it's great that they are letting Tammy know that they will move to their own house. Amy has to focus on raising her child and taking care of her family. Her family is her main priority, not taking care of Tammy. It will be extremely difficult to do if Tammy is around, expecting Amy to take care of her.

The thing about this "I'm an emotional eater" excuse is that that's a her problem. Sure maybe in this moment it's "the haters" triggering her but if it's not them there will always be somelse. In life there will be many triggers. That's just life. So what she should be doing is getting to the root of the problem and learning the tools to overcome it. Instead she just makes excuses for herself and refuses accountability. Until she stops blaming the world and starts taking accountability she will always fail.

7,000 to 10,000 calories is INSANE. I think that I intake probably around 2,000 calories on a "fat" day but generally I'd say that I'm more around 1,200 to 1,500

5:48 preach the facts man!!! I’ve lost a lot of weight to and i’ve realised its not just about *wanting it*, but *setting yourself up for success* by changing your environment. I brought my mum to the GP about my weight when i was a young teen (i was borderline obese) since what i was telling my mum about the food she buys wasn’t getting in her head. I mean it took a doctor to tell her but it was worth it. I’m almost 18 now, and at healthy weight and my mum is still very conscious about what she buys. There’s literally no junk food in the house, which works because now if you want to eat something of less nutritional value, its a bit more of a chore to obtain. Hopefully this will help you guys in your health journey’s also x

I’ve had weightloss surgery and it’s only been 5 weeks and when I look back at my eating habits I feel nauseous. And I was only 350lb at my heaviest (still obese but literally half of Tammy). Her doctors are so nice too I had to do 2 weeks of 800cals a day preop and I stuck to it bc I knew I needed it. If she wanted it deep down she’d do it

As I've said on other 1000s lb sisters videos, leave her with me for a month and she will lose the weight. She can't get up and grab shit, ill put all the food up take her phone and feed her 1000 calories a day. Thats what this girl needs and as much as I love Amy, someone should of called Adult protective services or something. She watched her stuff her face knowing she was going to die.

Tammy needs therapy ASAP. Issue is in her head. I've been in her minset...kind of. Not her struggles, but at one point I was lost with no clue what I want to do and my friend made big changes in her life and deep down I hoped she would fail. Because I felt like my life is done anyway so why be happy for others. I feel like that is how Tammy feels. It's a slow way to poison yourself. It's a disgusting place to be. You feel ashamed of yourself and project a lot.
