I have been using the Serbian Shooting drill for a few years now and think it is the best shooting drill I have ever seen to replicate game-like shooting. A few things I have changed that I suggest coaches try: 1. We play in teams so that it is competitive. 2. It is a timed event: each team is on offense for 3-5min then switches (if you have an extra player, he rotates in on offense after each bucket for the shooter). 3. Defense can score points - 1 pt for a tip, 2pts for a steal. (tip then a steal would be 3pt play) this keeps the defense trying for the full 3 min. Because our office uses passing and relocating, you can only get the pass back once you have a paint touch after a pass, then fill it out somewhere else.
