Such a beautiful piece. I was emotional and teary as I listening to velvety voices over happy, beautiful visuals of people enjoying the Cape. My heart however was pained by the same visuals, I thought of all those in Khayelitsha and Mannenburg and Kayamandi who will unfortunately not get to enjoy a glass of the wines of the valley, or the get to strike keys on the piano. I lived in Cape Town for 10 years, the first few years I obliviously enjoyed the privelage I had. The older I got the dichotomy of the city pained me. I pray for peace joy love and laughter for all. Beautiful piece once again. "I wont give up"

I communicated with Andre van der Merwe and asked him if the choir could do a virtual choral version of the Swahili love song Malaika. He replied with a [heart[. With his arranging and conducting skills and the choir's singing talents, they could crush it and give us another more-than-human experience. And what would be more appropriate than the greatest choir in the world singing the most beautiful love song in the world -- and both from Africa.
