I love using wristbands, I’ve been using them for years. 😉 Only reason I started using wristbands years ago, was because my Assistant Coach recommended we try it, haven’t looked back since 😉 It’s always cool to see the look of surprise on the faces of the parents of new players when they see I got wristbands, even some other coaches give me looks of surprise 😮 😉 since I have wristbands and a fully laminated offensive and defensive play sheet as well 😉 Coach D, since I’ve been a defensive coordinator as well as a Head Coach for years, I find it easier to identify what the opposing team’s defense is doing. I find I’m often the only coach on the field who can very quickly identify an opposing team’s defensive look, and very quickly I can attack it 😉 I also got a few tricky plays that freezes the defense 😉

I love hearing this. I appreciate the commitment to the wristband game. I’m the same and I always get those looks. I love the idea of being able to quickly identify the other teams D and being able to attack it. No wonder you and your teams have been successful. Thx for always sharing - much respect out there coach!

@@CoachD thanks for your kind words 😃 It’s like they do in the NFL: find a matchup and exploit it 😉

Do you have 7v7 plays for blocking/pick leagues? (Pick league--you can't engage a defender with your hands, but you can move into their path and set a screen/pick)

I have 7v7 plays that you can mix and match and customize using my Play Builder platform. Check out the options here: flagfootballwithcoachd.com/collections/7-on-7-flag-football-plays

If you buy just the 10 wristbands does it come with 6v6 plays or a template on where I would make my plays and print them out?

Oooo, love that question. I would grab the Plug & Play Bundle that comes with 10 wristbands and plays (24 age based hand selected for each age group) - you can easily print, trim, and insert. If you want to mix and match and customize your own playbook, grab a Play Builder Membership. Hey coach, I’m looking at the new coach package, but not really sure if we are running 5v5, 6v6, or 7v7. We’re a really small town, and it may even change game by game since my roster is only 7 players, and the other team is 6 players. If I buy this, does it include all options, or only the setup I select?

I can work with you and your situation. I’ve got your back. Thx for coaching out there! 🏈🔥

Question: Every play all my receivers are shouting the QB's name (young team). This causes QB confusion. What should I be instructing my receivers to do instead?
@CoachD3 ай бұрын
I’m ok with them using other ways to catch the QBs attention if they’ve found a window. I like clapping, a quick whistle, or something the QB and WR come up with together. Let them know that too much can be distracting and only do it when there really is an opportunity. Mostly I like to teach my QB to work through their reads and progressions and if you’re running your route correctly and are crisp with finding windows in the D, then the QB will find you.

I think your hands are incorrect for receiving the handoff on play #4, should the upper elbow be toward the QB? Or does the reception of the handoff changes because you are going left to right in front of the QB? kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYO7hH2wZ7Nmnsksi=E1U500CaOpDbkEfy&t=257

I’m the worst at that. VERY true. Come on coach!! Lead by example! 🤦🏻♂️ Time to drill it with rapid reps to make it automatic (unconscious competence). Good catch!
