I was adopted right after i was born and id like to think my birth mother is or was a good person deep down and doing it for the right reasons. My parents and my birth mother all chose a closed adoption so the only info i have is what state i was born in and what time. I really feel for people who want children so bad and cant have them.

Yeah l felt bad for Emily once again. My interpretation of it is Emily is an empath. Adults self regulate and think about their audience when speaking. Rachel’s description of her “bad moods” sounded like a teenager.😢 I wrote on another one of their podcasts (many did) that she doesn’t treat Emily like she should. Emily is amazing… she seems like such a caring person. 😢

The therapy portion of the video was so eye opening and is literally what my childhood was like. I'm SUPER sensitive to mood shifts, which is something i have to go through daily with family members and i hate it. I feel like I'm always tip toeing around trying not to stir up an argument, but i mostly just stay by myself to avoid all that, we love(!) 😢

I think it’s important to note too that Bella and Dallin had been struggling with infertility for years before announcing it to friends and family let alone KZbin. It was almost 4-5 years by the time this happened so no wonder they may have seemed “desperate” and were excited when something more quick came up.

I have seen other families who are hoping to adopt so social media campaigns to try and find a birth mother privately and then use their own attorneys instead of going through an agency. But I don’t know all the details of that type of situation. Just saying- them asking their followers if they know a birth mother looking to give up their baby isn’t that crazy in the adoption world, people do it all the time. *I still think it’s weird, just not uncommon.*

I was adopted and I know it took my mom years to go through everything. She was a day away from getting on a plane to adopt a baby from china when she got a call from the local agency saying they had a new baby “available”. It then took two more years for me to legally be hers. This shit takes time. There are tons of children of all ages desperately wanting and needing to be adopted! :):):):):)

For my fellow avid readers: I don’t want to give too much away but listening to this story made me think of “The Mother in Law” by Sally Hepworth. It’s a well written (fiction) book that goes over the struggle of motherhood, family dynamics, mother/daughter in law relationships, and what the struggle of infertility can do to people and also the flip side of “I wanted a child and now I’m struggling” and how important it is to have open and honest conversations. I couldn’t put it down. It was so good.

My sister was scammed over 30 years ago. The lady was pregnant, but offered her child to numerous people. Long story short, the mother and her boyfriend ended up in jail and the court chose the family the child ultimately went to. She was devastated.

They have had people they know adopt from that type of way and it was quicker and other reasoning. Though, I do agree with the “clickbaity/snarky” stuff you guys have been pointing out. Emily, will you talk about yours and Rachel’s perspectives on people boycotting Target for their current Pride collection, with the tuck friendly bathing suits and binding effect swimsuits for kids (I think). Rachel recently seemed to avoid Target and shop at Kohls instead and I don’t know if that was because of the boycott or for other reasons. I am just curious to understand your perspectives on this issue. I know the conservatives are leading the boycott, and others are joining because they don’t like that Target is “targeting” children, but also conservatives have said that “your” money (whoever shops at Target) is going to support this. I don’t agree with this last statement and think people should make their own decisions on where to shop. I myself am conservative, but love listening to and following this channel because I gain better understanding of both or multiple viewpoints of an issue. And I don’t always agree with the “conservative” perspective. Thank you for your hard work!

Okay, so… I obviously think it’s so, so wrong that the couple was scammed. That woman should definitely face consequences. Especially since she had done it to other couples. But I think if you try to use your platform to skip parts of the adoption process, which are there for a reason, you do have a risk of being scammed. And in no way am I blaming them. But people have to be more careful. And with all the red flags that were there, I wished they had looked into her more. Again, I’m not blaming this couple. They obviously wanted a baby, and were willing to do anything. But the steps in the adoption process are there for a reason. And again, using your platform to jump past the line is gross to me. I’m sure they meant no malice, but it shows their privilege. Not to mention splitting the video up into 2 parts. They clearly wanted to profit off of their sad story. Which maybe as a KZbinr, you don’t find anything wrong with it. But it’s insensitive to so many families who have been through something similar, or have been through the adoption process. I understand why people think all of this is fake. Just my opinion.

Regardless of how much money they have. They spent loads of money and time on IVF and that emotional rollercoaster. I don't blame them for wanting to fast track expanding their family. Even if they found out earlier or was bribing the scammer at least they can use their platform to start the conversation, they still got heart broken from it being a lie. What the scammer did was wrong and it was to multiple couples that aren't in such a privileged place. The bigger picture is what's more important here
