@@JamieS1992 Yeah. Return of Jafar felt like something was off (and not necessarily the lack of Robin Williams as Genie?), but the third film really made up the difference, with a worthwhile story and an epic conclusion to the setting as a whole.

This always felt like one of the sequels that did the original proud. The voice actress for Zira was phenomenal - totally menacing! Glad you guys enjoyed it. "In Upendi" will now be in my head for the next three months, best to embrace it :D

Fun fact: "He lives in you" was originally written for the first Lion King but was cut! But my favorite song from this movie is "He is not one of us", soooo goood!

The 1994 Lion King was based on Shakespeare's Macbeth. Simba's pride was based on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. That is why this is one of my favorite straight to video sequels

Out of all the songs in the movie, my top 4 favorites are "We Are One", My Lullaby", "Upendi" and "Not One Of Us". I love how this movie was loosely based on Romeo & Juliet, while the first one was Hamlet.

2 important scenes that never made it thru the final cut because Disney back then thought it will be too dark and send bad messages. First we have Nukas death scene. His real last words: “I’m sorry mother, I tried. I guess I finally got your attention, didn’t I, didn't I?” This makes Zira even more barbaric, in that she didn't take Nuka's last words to heart and realize that she'd just thrown away Nuka's life in her quest to get vengeance on Simba. He didn't hate Kovu for being the chosen one. He hated Kovu because he got all the attention from Zira, completely neglecting Nuka. Only in his last moment he finally got his mother's affection. The other scene is Ziras death. Many have wondered why she smile when falling to her death. After Kiara says "Zira come on! I'll help you!" Then Zira grins and with something between a menacing, evil whisper and a hissing she says "No! Never!" And then she let it go, falling down. Her death was a suicide. She was too loyal to Scar to accept any deal with "the enemy".

Six years before _The Incredibles_ had Syndrome dare the hero into harming one of his own, Zira shoved her youngest cub in front of Simba and dared him to harm the kid. And I think _my_ favorite line is when Kiara accuses Simba of "you will never BE Mufasa!" Because despite how much it hurt them both for her to say that, _she's still right._

Yeah. Under circumstances where Zira would rather risk certain death than accept mercy from her enemy, there's nothing she _could_ say to Kiara.

i disagree the animation wasn't as good as the first the lion king 1 movie because the animation was amazing to me 10 out of 10 for me in the lion king 2 just like the first movie to me i also love the stroy and the music i think the lion king 2 was is good as the first oringial the lion king 1 movie to me in my honest unpopular humble honest opinion but i agree your opinion if you didn't think it was as good as the first lion king 1 movie and i also disagree you said the lion king 2 had cringy moments because it wasn't no cringy issues moments for me at all i enjoy every moments on the lion king 2 i think the lion king 2 is underrated i love everything about it the story, music and animation for me is 10 out of 10 i think it's right up there with the oringial the lion king 1 for me but the only thing i do agree what you said is the live action the lion king reamake movie is not as good is the oringial the lion king 1 but i still think the lion king 2 is as good is the oringial the lion king 1 for me in my book

If there's one moment that stands out in a sore way, it's during the final confrontation when we get a close-up, head-on shot of Zira's angry face. Otherwise, while there is a _general_ vibe that they didn't polish the animation to the same gold-medal standard as the original, it still gets a silver medal in its own right!
