KZbin encourages people to go to channels for a specific kind of content. Not for the person behind it. KZbin actively encourages people trying to grow their channels to find a niche, actively locking themselves into a topic or style for the rest of their career. Sorry that things went south when you tried to actually enjoy your channel. Good luck with your future endeavors.

MoistCr1TiKaL isn't really that bad, just overrated to hell. At least he seems like a decent person and hasn't scammed viewers yet. You can do far worse and if you think he is a grifter, you can be a much worse grifter. I know a former friend IRL that wanted to make an easy buck making prank videos. I think what is really sad that KZbin doesn't feel like a place full of quality content. WTF happened to creative channels like Balloonshop and others. Brandon Rodgers is the only piece of old KZbin left that is at the very least in the consciousnesses of the mainstream. It's all either video essays, content farms, or rare popular quality content that will be ruined and made into a content farm. Do you know what is a terrible channel, No Bullshit, Vaush, or Black Pigeon Speaks. You can't save the west or claim to be "redpilled" if you don't know what AI even prior to 2020 and COVID or pull a successful revolution if you have any faith in mainstream candidates. As for terrible non-political channels, I would rank a lot of those cartoon ones to be bad which are just profiting off of people's nostalgia.

Jacksepticeye said it best that KZbin is ruined and in shambles, the modern style of videos as a whole is so soulless and braindead and you really only seem to win if you're caught in youtube's typical and repetitive drama now or doing the same thing as everyone else. I really miss when KZbin was about genuine variety and a way for people to express or share their passions with their own soulful editing styles. Take away the diversity that we so desperately claim we support but the reality is it's only supported if it's making papa KZbin more money. They bank on the net toxicity, dramatic and unnecessary slop because KZbin still wants to compete with other networks yet forget what made KZbin the phenomenon it became was its diversity. Now any content creator has to be held at virtual gunpoint and whipped until they either leave or appease KZbin's new and terrible agenda, sorry about the rant RC but I've felt the exact same for a long time. Wish you the best as a creator in this virtual Great Depression .

@MoronicRocАй бұрын
Your entire point about how people don't value editing over stuff like the script comes off as tone-deaf at best and delusional at worst. First of all, the script is more valued because that's the most important part of the video. If a video has a good script but no footage, that just means I can listen as a podcast, and it will still be worthwhile. If a video is well-edited but the script is just incoherent rambling with bad points, then it's just an overglorified waste of my time. I'd much rather go to a live performance of a Shakespeare play than go watch the Last Jedi or something like that, because while TLJ may have some fancy special effects, the drama of a Shakespeare play would be much more compelling. Second of all, there still exists plenty of well-edited videos on KZbin, you just have to know where to look. Just because commentary channels don't really put in any effort in editing doesn't mean everything else stoops to that level. Third of all, your editing is not that good. Stop pretending like you're somehow a shining beacon of quality in a sea of slop, shoving in random memes on the screen doesn't count as good editing. If anything, it detracts from the quality of the video, as the main point of editing is to make the script stronger by proving relevant visuals, not doing the opposite.
@RiverCiverАй бұрын
I didn't say there's no good content anymore I said that the most popular and rewarded content on KZbin is usually just slop. "Impressive for AI" is the new way to celebrate mediocre slop. Impressive for AI is literally admitting it's lesser to that of a human work, yet it's apparently good? holding less expectations than for a newborn toddler never made it good. Yet people celebrate it for the novelty. It is embarassing that most profit-driven "professional" avenues are nearly always worse than passion projects. The standards fell low enough for that to apparently be tolerable. most developers are too lazy to even make their own game themselves. They all just use the same cheat-code of "just allow mods lmfao" to keep their trash barely afloat. All of them are undercooked foundations that the owners supposed to live there end up building upon themselves. Meanwhile the builder gets a fat paycheck for doing nothing. The youtube sphere is full of plain exploitative people actively making things worse to "get that bag". you know who else gets that bag? A thief robbing someone's grandmother. It is geniunely tiring seeing those social media darlings control the masses in the most unresponsible ways. They all have influence that they treat as some laughing matter. It is geniunely so boring when I play a multiplayer game and see everyone just doing something that random Mr. KZbinr man told them to do. Which is usually something incredibly stupid. i think yr opinion here is very flawed. you're taking an extremely over generalized view of the the second most popular website in the entire world. when each of the 122 million people who visit the website are individuals with their own radically unique viewpoints and lived experiences , i don't think you can say anything completely accurate about all or even most of them. yes lazy channels are getting a lot of views , but that was the case in 2016 as well , i mean that was the height of commentary youtube , which style requires little more than the most rudimentary editing ability and a very small amount of charisma. and anyway, of course the most popular lowest-common-denominator appealing thing in any medium or platform isn't going to be the best ever. most people are only going to have a casual interest in most art mediums, and they don't want to spend the time searching for that which truly appeals to them on a deeper level within those mediums. someone who is deeply invested in movies and spends a lot of time watching and thinking about and talking about them might have mediocre or bad taste in music or books , and that's not because they're stupid or brainwashed , they simply dedicated their time elsewhere, and i think that's okay. additionally, i think it's very disingenuous to pretend that playing into the "slop youtube metagame" or whatever is the only way to find success. if your threshold for success is 10 million subscribers then sure , that may be true , but even a far smaller audience than that can constitute a not insignificant amount of success, and people are out there who care about more highly edited content. and finally , i have some things to say about yr ideas about passion. it's okay to have extrinsic motivations with making art , of course when i create things i want for people to see them , but the only way to develop a truly healthy relationship with yr art and the process of creating it is for yr PRIMARY motivation to be a healthier intrinsic one- a true love for the medium, a burning desire to express yrself , the desire to create something beautiful simply for knowing it exists, things like that. the art being seen by others and receiving validation for that is a great bonus, but you have to remain more focused on , well , passion, and if you care so much about the views and validation that you receive that you are ready to give up making things the best you can because you aren't getting enough of it.. i don't know to what extent i would really consider that passion. basically , youtube and its culture are not a monolith, lowest common denominator art will become more popular than it deserves because it's inoffensive and doesn't take any effort to find , and this applies to every medium , but that doesn't mean that better art can't still be somewhat popular. i think your success is out there , if you're persistent and create with real , intrinsically motivated passion, but you have to be willing to make good things while knowing that a relatively small (and honestly the amount of people who see yr videos now is still quite a few , try to conceptualize how much space 2,000 people takes up) number of people will see it, just for the sake of the creation of good things. thanks for reading my comment

@@RiverCiver Honestly same. Top 10's need to carefully place their topics to make sense and add to a discussion. Drama content is generally much easier to farm since you can copy someone's homework and get away with it 90% of the time. And, all you need to do is state facts and that is it, rarely do you get an opinion from the commentator. Top 10's, however, you can barely do it since directly ripping a video would be obvious. The instance with TheGamer and Apollo Legend is an example of this happening.

It's different depending on the streamer. I used to watch a Mortal Kombat streamer named Mike, he would do sets with his viewers and he was very good at the game, it was very interactive and hands on, and I improved and learned a lot from him. I remember one day he randomly got bored and switched up the game to a very interesting visual novel in which his viewers helped him decode puzzles, solve mysteries, etc. There's also more niche streamers like robodog who streams the creation of their new VR game, which is very interesting to me as an aspiring game developer. Some of the more popular streamers have unpredictable spontaneous moments that are neat to be a firsthand witness of. And others I truly do not see the appeal of.

I didnt subscribe just becuz you could edit. You were able to voice your opinions in an interesting and entertaining way; I didn’t agree with everything, and that’s ok no one ever does. But becuz you seemed earnest and continued to be entertaining you gained a loyal audience that I’m sure you see has been following you even yrs later. There’s this one KZbinr that said smthn to the effect of “as long as you continually produce le gud/ le funny content ppl will always continue to watch your shit”. If you “give up” that’s ur business ig but it’s pretty disappointing that your doing it for what feels like petty reasons

@@RiverCiver idk you personally man just saying what I’m seeing, which is a guy still trying to do leafy style commentary in 2024 and wondering why he isn’t very well liked… Even then though u can have ur opinions and dry humor and still be successful; bigbunjee and flazefire prove u can maintain ur edge and still have a consistently growing audience How you move forward is up to you, I just liked seeing you return and still be entertaining. Good luck on whatever u do maybe like u said u can be successful
