YouTube Monetized In Africa (Zambia): 200,000 Views and My First $1,000 Ad Revenue

My Zambian channel got monetized on July 27th 2020. I keep getting asked about how possible that is, well I shre a few thoughts in this video.
My channel ad revenue is about two weeks from $1,000 and I have a video with 200,000 views.
A full video will be coming up next week. Meantime, I hope this answers some of the questions.

Thank you for this. I think as channels starting up people get caught up with wanting to get monetized fast instead of focusing on making content that keeps subscribers coming back so that you reach the threshold.

It's real tricky. Some people stop making content because they doing it for the money which may or may not come. Best to enjoy making the content. Keeps you going as you wait for numbers to rise.

Thanks. Sadly the process was many years in the making. I first got an AdSense account which I linked to my KZbin. I used my Zambia details on both platforms. I think that's where people mess up, by not getting the AdSense account first.

Hello! Kindly asking on the pin situation a lot of people complain that the pin get lost because Zambia doesn’t have a set postal code how did you work around that?🤔

I used a P.O. Box or a postal box if you will. Mail delivery to residential addresses does not work in Zambia. You need to be going to check physically at the post office that services the area. A post box is extremely efficient, even i you leave out the postal code

Zambia is not eligable, neither is Nigeria. Zambian and Nigerian KZbinrs are monetized. You lose nothing if you try the steps I mention

Not sure where you are. But my experience, many African post offices fail to deliver to homes. Best bet is a Post Office box

Did you use a home address or a P.O. Box? I used a P.O. Box and it came within a month. A home address could take a while. You might have to trace the nearest post office and see if they can trace it

Put the country you're in. If you don't live in US, have a US bank account, know how to pay US taxes, you'll jam yourself. I used Zambia, have had zero problems to date.

Hello. First things first, log in to Google AdSense and create an account. If that gets approved, link that to your KZbin channel. If that gets approved, your channel can get monetized.
