I agree with Mark. From what I see GYC restores these cars better than the day they left the factory!

The opening sequence with Will pointing out the difficult challenges he faces with this paint job and Mark pointing out how trivial the paint job is, its easy, you just gun it for a couple of hours. Sure makes it easy to see who's the problem. Respect.

I'd estimate closer to 30 1966 Hemi Charger four speeds built in this color. So... 1966 Charger. 250 built-for-USA Hemi four speed cars. Estimate another 49 built for export (overall total 1966 Charger production is 20% higher than USA numbers). So estimate 299 '66 Hemi four speed Chargers total. There were 17 available colors so an even distribution would make for about 18 total ZZ1 citron poly 1966 Hemi four-speed Chargers. But this color is on the popular end among the remaining ~299 cars and all of the available colors, so total production may have been up to 30 cars originally. I have records on four of them and this one makes #5. Great car overall and glad to see the guys give it some respect.

I restored my uncle's 1964 Polara 500 gold Anniversary convertible at my shop in St. Louis in 1995. I'm definitely not a mopar fan, but I did it for him as a favor. It was missing a couple pieces of fender trim and the plastic retainers, and there was a massive mopar graveyard in central Missouri, and I found everything I needed there. It was an unbelievable facility all sorted by model, row after row of mopars in various states of repair. Parked in the entrance facing the front road was a blue '66 hemi 4 speed Charger. Even though the hemis to me are nothing special, I stopped to look on my way out. It was in pretty decent shape, definitely restorable, even in the rust belt, and complete. I didn't bother to see if the engine was original, but it was definitely a hemi, and I remember it had chrome valve covers and a dual carb chrome intake and I recall a small hemi tag on the fenders or hood. The asking price on the windshield was $12,000.00

Does GYC have a “dry room?” That’s like an long building or structure where cars are parked after being primed or painted. It’s where the temperature and humidity are controlled in order to help a car dry out. Primer shrinks as does a freshly painted vehicle!

question.when you get a car from a salvage , is the title a salvage title., and if so do a salvage title make the price of the car less.valuable. and what if the car not have the title to it , how do you get title for the car.

That rust didn't look like sweat rust,bare metal naturally starts to flash rust,it looked more like moisture in the are rust,since it was mostly all on the upper panels,where moisture sits,if it was hand sweat it would also be in the lower flat sections.But that's just my opinion.

Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!! (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!!!!!!

This can only happen if the people lay down and allow it too.. Time to stand up and take our countries back from these communist morons. Learn history this has happened many times in the past and every time it never ends well for the middle class and poor.. Look at Venezuela it was the 3rd richest country in the western part of the world and only 10 years later look what Socialism has done for those people..

What he does is better then anythong you buy any new car paint is crap also back in 60s and 70s they painted cars better they also had crap paint jobs.
@Electrolab11142 жыл бұрын
I guess I have to say something this time. I don't think that anybody in their right mind can cut down what Will does to these cars. He has produced paint jobs that are above and beyond what many paint men can do. And some of these jobs are incredibly difficult to paint. So you talk about his hair so you talk about other things. Bottom line, he is indeed a great painter. His comments about the Sistine chapel, are really point on. Sure everybody goes together to make it structural and smooth, but that's not what people see when you have it at a show or going down the road. They see that beautiful, colorful, mirror like finish that is on this car.
