You are saying two things "Ban lobbyists" and "Ban meetings with lobbyists behind closed doors" I'm not 100% sure about how lobbyists function in the US, but here in the EU, lobbyists are generally submitting position papers and expert feedback to represent a part of society (and they are all open to the public). I think in the US it isn't so much the lobbying that is the problem but the part where people can donate to politicians, *cough* bribe *cough*. If I write a paper with the input of experts in their field and submit it, I would be a lobbyist and you would stand against that. Would you prefer that politicians make their decisions informed by groups of experts that they have chosen based on their own ideologies? Or do you have another suggestion? Maybe the best solution is for everyone to lobby for their sector in written format using scientific evidence instead of trying to use emotionally manipulating messaging, and of course, stop allowing people to bribe politicians.

IDC if you're for a cause I support or not, you shouldn't be able to talk to an elected official "off the books", give gifts of any kind, or make any kind of quid pro quo arrangements. Look at how many "retired" politicians end up working for companies that they pass legislation to help bolster. My fiance was murdered. I also didn't go to court during the autopsy portion. I didn't wanna remember the person I love the way I see bodies on shows like Law & Order. And as I'm from a small town with very few murders the local media coverage on this was ruthless. Trying to talk to people leaving her funeral and waiting outside court charging up to me & her family. Putting the camera in her mother's face asking how she feels. It did feel like being revictimized because the trial was a year later and it stirred everything up again emotion wise. I cannot imagine what that man went through not only losing his child but having the person he loved kill him. I also cant imagine having to worry about running across what happened to my loved one on a thumbnail of a KZbinr as someone who consumes a lot of KZbin. I am someone who does watch True Crime from time to time, but to do this - and publish an 11y.o autopsy as part of ur Patreon benefits is in horribly poor taste.

The thought of distributing picture of them make me feel sick to my stomach. They are people who lived and loved and smiled. Some of these true crime “creators” have made the lives of these deceased people into spectacles. Even if a person is deceased, they still deserve love and respect. These families are experiencing unimaginable emotions just by losing a loved one, now to have these influencers parading their loved ones around is traumatic.

I can’t justify these photos being leaked because there will always be bad actors that just want to see something disturbing. These photos get passed around the internet for entertainment. One example I can think of is the Nikki Catsouras case. This time the photos were leaked by police officers after the accident. It was incredibly interesting to me and so I understand where that fascination comes from, and I aspired to be a behavioural psychologist when I was younger because of how much I was drawn to the subject. However upon starting to look for books, docs, etc or other content on it as I got older, the ethical issues became glaringly obvious to me. I had and do have trouble vocalizing why, but the makeup youtubers gleefly discussing these very real deeply traumatic events, or books that focus on prose and atmosphere to create narratives of the rapes of strangers.. it deeply feels wrong to me. It seems like there is overall typically a huge lack of respect for the subject matter and that people use it as their scary story entertainment without understanding what it’s like for loved ones of the victim. So this doesn’t surprise me at all. I am actually more surprised true crime fans are even bothered by it or understand what happened was wrong. The woman involved is not viewing the child and his father as real human beings and is clearly running a channel for morbid entertainment under the guise of ‘education’. Education about what, exactly? Why would anyone need to view that gore to understand the case? I hope she faces some kind of legal consequences for this.

@@SodaPop2323 Officially they don't sell it here, people are bringing it from the US and reselling it here. Like that convenience store in Britain that got called out for reselling it for £100 or something.

I think about 90% of True Crime KZbinrs have a Patreon charging a certain amount to view the non censored versions of their content. And many of those versions contain similar questionable content/photos. It seems to be a well spread practice with TC creators! Definitely not just this Zav person. There is definitely an big ethical discussion to be had there.
@coolio4843 Жыл бұрын
Yes I think it comes from KZbin not allowing these images or they get demonetized at least. But I don’t think I see many true crime KZbinrs actually showing crime scene photos of the victim.
@Fairymoncada Жыл бұрын
Your percentages are wrong. You should be more careful about using that as resource for an opinion. I watch several TC channels from both English and Hispanic creators, and I have NEVER EVER heard even one of them has a Patreon to post that kind of content. Those specific creators who do that should be called out. Real TC fans don’t watch those vids to see death people, it is for psychological part behind… People who buys that kind of content should be called out.
@mayanaw.9027 Жыл бұрын
@@Fairymoncada 100% Speak for yourself OP, none of the TC creators I follow would ever post or share this kind of image - wouldn't even come to mind to do for them behind a paywall or otherwise. But I do agree it's a big ethical discussion.

@@EliTheAlien Sure, but remember the internet is an open source of information, any person at any age can use it at any time and place, that type of gruesome content should be censored. I personally didn’t watch any TC before YT. This version of TC is much better for ppl like me who likes the psychology and mystery behind, and not to see real dead people.
@Takokujin07 Жыл бұрын
@@EliTheAlienou know why? Because those shows on tv (not all of course) have mountains of people behind them, forensic scientists and law enforcement, witnesses, people with YEARS of experience behind them, even having the families of the victims working with them, and also they donate to organizations tied to helping those families. Anyone can go on KZbin and talk about a murder and get their hands on photos not meant to be shown to the public, but can you create and produce and entire show revolving around different cases, paying all the people involved in producing those, promoting it, and show it on tv? These were at first meant to be INFORMATIVE, now they are mostly entertainment on KZbin. Plus the shows on tv have decades of society getting used to it, by being informative and scientific. There is definitely still exploitation and now it’s been over saturated with bs, but the point is on KZbin it’s just normal people almost zero experience in reporting and research. It’s like college kids pretending to be investigative reporters thinking they have the right to SELL autopsy photos of child, bro

Look, 10 seconds is fine. That must mean it doesn't count when I hit the groper back so long as my fist doesn't come in contact with him for more than 10 seconds at a time, surely that's just fine and legal to this judge, right?
@Copperyfoxx Жыл бұрын
I suppose we can all punch that judge for 10 seconds each. As long as we all take turns.

Naw. Maybe someone should show the judge just how long 8 seconds are(as to not break the president they set) by "not groping them". Bet they will regret a lot
@mcbean1 Жыл бұрын
@@Avrysatos That's called self defence, you always had that right. I would be careful that you don't confuse someone accidently brushing past you with a 'groper' because at that point you might end up punching an innocent person, then you'd have a problem.

Hell yeah. See how long it takes the big wigs to cave when every corner of the industry they rely on decides to strike. There is no industry without all of them working together, but the CEO’s forget that they’re they only ones that are actually expendable, especially in this day and age when anyone anywhere at anytime can make and release movies online without the need of a major corporation and their money.
