Twitch is so insanely ridiculous. If they weren't owned by Amazon they would be dead by now. The way they run their platform is on the extreme side of unprofessional. They're corrupt and don't even try to hide it. It's baffling and disgusting to be honest. Like imagine any other massive platform or company doing the things twitch does. It's seriously insane. The thing is that mass media and drama channels are known to cherry pick things. Ethan is usually known among his viewers about not having a filter. So when others see the clip without context it would seem like he is considering violence against NRA. The internet has become very much similar to live television where each and everything you do is being monitored and can make or break you.

He did say “I got a little carried away” and “I got a little passionate there”, that’s speaking feelings not jokes. And the gratuitous onslaught of bad renditions afterwards doesn’t make up for it either. He never said it was a bad joke, only much later on Twitter which I think was a lie to make up for not saying it at the time. (Still he never said joke in the clip) Any body language analyst could tell you that he didn’t want to say joke cause it wasn’t, and he was trying to over shadow his abhorrent feelings but inferring what he doesn’t mean. He couldn’t psychologically lie like that on the spot because he was too emotionally invested. I’m not saying he means it in reality but it sets a bad precedent that this is the kind of emotional charged thoughts he has and especially about subjects like this (the fact it’s in public I think is objectively the worst). People are upset right now because of what’s going on. He has a big public following in the sphere of influence that this relates to, politics. Saying stuff like this in this way and at this time would be no different than me walking into an airport and joking about C4 or bombs to only then be pissed off that nobody understood that it was a joke even though I didn’t say it until it was too late. He is not insighting or even considering violence it’s just what he said was his real feelings, very serious, and non-jocular. You don’t do something like that in this situation and then lie about it. Because he claimed much later on twitter than it was a joke and the context more than suggests (realistically exclaims) otherwise. I look at what he does carefully because his statements and handling of things has gotten worse and worse as time goes on. It's so weird how KZbin handles their Content ID system. Ethan Klein makes a very disturbing statement that he apologizes about and because big corporate entities complained about it, Ethan got a strike. However, Act Man and a few other people gather massive amounts of proof of how Quantum TV is abusing multiple DMCA laws and is being extremely derogatory and controversial on the platform, yet because there's really no repercussion on KZbin for it, he's innocent. Whereas corporations can work their way to FORCING KZbin to take a video down, a bunch of people talking about it and reporting his videos get no reaction. Very weird.

Sadly anti stalker laws are disgustingly inadequate in a lot of countries. Look up Sweet Anita's past stalker story because this isn't the first time. Even the police officers that weren't a total joke were helpless on what they could actually do. There are plenty of stalker cases where it's not until the victim is seriously harmed that police step in and it's more because of an actual assault than the sicko stalker behaviour. If Quantum TV isn't breaking any guidelines laid out by KZbin, then all other content creators should follow his example and really test whether or not certain rules can be broken. Make sure to keep all receipts in order to make your claim that you aren't breaking any rules. In regards to Twitch's ridiculous rules towards showing or talking about banned creators, current creators on the platform should start leaving the platform once their contracts are up and move over to KZbin streaming. Really put Twitch in it's place, that platform wouldn't survive long if people actually stood their ground in order to protest, in a way, that it needs to reform its ToS. I know this is a stretch considering how situations are varied during these times, but losing financial backing from Twitch would more than likely be compensated by loyal fans or Anti-(Insert Platform Here) activists that would praise you for having a backbone. With the H3H3 topic, it's difficult these days not to blame gun violence on guns for some. He shouldn't have said what he did, instead he should have advocated for individuals to either learn self defense or get in contact with their local governments to voice their concerns. Sure it would be nice if none of us had to worry about violence what so ever. But completely banning guns or any tool of protection isn't going to stop people from having a mental breakdown and targeting people around them. Take away one tool another one would take its place, doesn't matter what it is. This whole gun control debate should be more focused on mental health in society, but it's much easier to blame something simple and easier to control. It's literally the same argument that video games cause violence to grow in people. I've played video games for over 20 years and have never thought or decided to cause harm to others. (Mentally stable) People who practice gun discipline are either enthusiasts or want to keep their families/themselves safe from others who may not be mentally stable.
