Never seen your channel before but this touched me. Thank you for being so genuine and sharing this. I've felt so similar since this happened. I follow a Eamon and Bec too and a bunch of other people Lee was friends with and its heartbreaking to think that this beautiful young girl had to go through this experience and felt so dismayed that it ended this way. I've dealt with depression myself and overcome it but so many aren't strong enough to deal with it alone. The important thing is that when you post negative comments on someone's channel, you have absolutely no idea what that person is really dealing with behind the scenes and kindness goes a long way. It really could be the difference between life and death for someone you post a comment to. So be loving, be kind.... be careful and be mindful that sometimes, what you say can really make a difference in someone's life... for better or for worse.

I had a classmate that was bullied for years and so were several others of us in this class. Some of us tried hard to help him, but the haters sadly won in the end and he took his own life. I was so afraid during my school years, I hardly remember anything else. We all need to keep in mind that this world is a hard enough place to live in, even without having to navigate through harsh and hurtful comments. Do onto others... Is and will always be the best words to keep in mind.

You are echoing my feelings for Lee, her family, Max and sweet Bec and Eamon. Such a TRAGIC turn of events. Somewhere in this rabbit hole I discovered Lee reluctantly started taking medication. A nurse commented that new med users should be on a 90 day high risk watch due to potential adverse reactions. No one but Lee will ever know what happened. I guess all we can do is remember to be kind and witness her incredible experiences from past videos. I watch her vids to see her in happier places, both emotionally and physically. Soar high, Lee! You burned too brightly for this world and this makes me so incredibly sad.

Thank you for posting this to validate Lee and her struggles but also to bring awareness to mental health and the potentially terminal outcome which is suicide and, sadly at times, suicide/homicide. Your questions and confusion are valid. I believe that trying to answer the questions and find reason for it are part of the bargaining stage of grief. The bargain is that if I know why, it will make sense, it is no longer part of the frightening unknown, it can be explained, and I can begin to feel better, and, most importantly, to feel safe again. Now that I know, it doesn't have to happen to me or those I love. We all do it. But the truth is that part of the healing for those left behind is pain. The pain and the acceptance of the unacceptable run parallel. Time is the biggest thing we have to accept and it's different for everyone. I'm sure she would tell us to do the things she knew to do, that she said to do in one of her videos. Exercise, be with people, focus on gratitude, practice self-care, seek therapy, explore the possibility of medication. I believe she was genuine and committed to life and willing to continue the struggle. And did for as long as she could. I've read many of the comments here about the tragedy, the heartbreak, how unbelievable it is. For some it will seem equally unbelievable that there are many out there going through the same struggle she did who would envy her. It is a constant battle to either fight through yet another wave of it, or just be at peace. Very sad. Please, everyone, encourage mental health care in your circle, your home, your community. And for yourself.

A wise man helped me thru a low time in my life...by asking me to truly serve (give of myself), he took me to the veteran's hospital and we walked the ward of these veterans that had given of themselves to serve...not with words but with their limbs and lives (which would never be the same). I know this will sound harsh as he said "when I feel bad about my life (self-pity in some eyes) to come on back and serve these people to get a true perspective of my life" ...we are here for a minute of time, one's purpose: "positive interaction" people, earth, etc...Choose to walk away from anything counter to that purpose...

I watched Max & Lee’s channel, Max & Occy, Life With Lee, Eamon & Bec, and several other of their friends channel. I have never met Lee personally,but admired her tremendously. I’d leave her comments occasionally. It’s been a few weeks now since she has passed and I’m still somewhat distraught over her death. I can only imagine what her parents are going through, as well as her close friends. RIP, Lee ♥️

I have only discovered You Tubers since Covid and it has given me so much joy to travel to places with the people I follow that I will probably never get a chance to visit as i am now in my 70's. Also following other peoples journeys through life. i think it is a wonderful medium for learning and seeing real life and I think has kept a lot of people sane in this challenging past year. Just looking at your channel it looks like you have some personal challenges of your own. It is tragic that the internet is also readily available for sick people like this person Dave 2D who sounds like he has sociopath tendencies and takes out his own sickness on a beautiful soul such as Lee. She did not deserve any bullying and I so wish she could have separated herself from it and recognise it was his personal problem and nothing to do with her. Thank you Jennifer for your brave discussion. I followed Max and Lee and Eamon and Bec from when they first started. Being a bit of an oldster now who did travel adventures on my own for decades, it was inspiring to watch these young people find alternatives to the old 9 to 5 route. I followed Lee and Max after the breakup but not as often. I was heartbroken 💔 when Eamon and Bec’s latest post popped up. I’d watched some of Lee’s new van build not that long ago. You really tapped into my soul searching these past two days. I am a mental health professional but also dealt and found ways to manage with depression for thirty plus years. I had a loved one suicide in a violent way so Lee’s death really triggered those feelings. I have re-watched old vlogs of happier times. All I can say is when it comes to suicide, for those left behind, we often will never find the reason why the decision was made when it was. What we can do is be kind to ourselves and others. Lee was courageous enough a year ago to share her struggles and encourage people to get help. She apparently was getting lots of support, professionally and personally. My hope is that people will be more sensitive before they make mean comments online, seek help when they need it and encourage a loved one who is struggling to get help. Lastly, I am encouraged by a lot of the kind, well thought out and from the heart 💜 responses to Lee’s struggles and death. As my grandmother used to say, “always be kind and remember we never know what someone is going through.” ♥️💔♥️😢

This is is a reflection of the life condition of the world Jennifer it's a deep wound that we carry and sadly the insecurities and narcissism that runs through social media will tell us on a subconscious level that we should be this or be that ,and our insecurities will speak to us the same ways..sadly the way in which we are programmed becomes this sort of stomping ground for social media to mock us and reveal these wounds we are trying to heal and pick old scabs until on a soul level..its just quite too much peace and refuge to all those in the comments who are struggling with any invisible illness u r not alone

thank you. and i recently lost a very good friend who no one, no one would have imagined would take her own life... three beautiful girls who were her life, everything going for her, loved life, always smiling, good person through and through.... had all the support and love any person could wish for... yet, she "walked in front of the train" so to speak fully aware of what she was doing and ended her life. no one knows what is in a person heart or head at any given moment.

I’ve said this before, it’s truly unimaginable, heart wrenching... I cannot imagine her parents thoughts and excruciating feelings right now. Eamon and Bec, their shared video of their beautiful friendship and precious time spent with Lee, they are clearly shattered. I’m fairly new to her you tube channel, just stumbled across this lovely young woman, starting a new van build. Only saw a few vids, and then shockingly saw she took her life. It’s immensely sad, to see a smart, funny, lovely, creative, amazing... loving YOUNG WOMAN... who millions felt such a deep connection with, take her life, what a tragedy! And for her to be bullied, after sharing her truth and struggles, hoping to help others, while she herself was in such turmoil, is unspeakable. Bullies are such sad people, themselves, using others as a scapegoat for their own pain and inadequacies! So horrible! Like you, I obviously sad I didn’t know more about her sooner. Lee appeared to be such a lovely soul, way to young to be gone, so sad for her to get to a point, of no return. Sometimes the most beautiful brightness burns so hot, it cannot be sustained for long. She touched millions with her love and light. And that is her legacy. Once her parents have time to do some recovery (which may never fully happen) enough to see past their pain and be able to breathe, I pray they find peace in the knowledge that they created an amazing human-being who left her mark and will continue to do so, through her honest revelations of her mental health journey. When it comes down to it, bullies are cowards. They aren't happy unless they are being mean and hateful to others mainly because of their own insecurities. I am devastated as many are about Lee. Such a beautiful soul who only had the best intentions in doing a KZbin video. I so enjoyed watching her with Occy (who loved her unconditionally) and Max on their travels. It is hard to wrap your head around how someone could intentionally walk in front of a train knowing there is no turning back. We grieve for the person she was, the friends she had, the family that is beyond heartbroken. She is now in a place beyond describing that no one will ever be bullied again. Sometimes you just need the screaming in your soul to stop. When you make the choice and flip that switch, the wave of silent relief washes over you and you have a moment of peace. That was 30 years ago. I survived, but that relief valve or option is still there. In the background, promising silence once again if it becomes too much. It's like a safety net or security blanket. Hope that makes sense. That is sometimes the reality of clinical depression or suicide.

I am getting bits and pieces of her story. I didnt realize she was in Santa Barbara. It is a train I have taken in the past and I was in Santa Barbara two days later. You cannot blame a broken heart on "mental illness". Nor can you blame a tragic decision on "cyber bullying"'. Mourning is deeply personal and the sense of loss can last years. I know. Even my closest friends had reached a point where they were telling me to "get over it". But one size does not fit all. Lee needed more time.

I don’t think can take this. I’ve only just discovered Lee’s videos with max tonight spent the last two hours watching their Machu Pichu adventures with the wonderful Occy. I watched a load of them before seeing that they split up. So I went to the last videos they posted and although sad I respected their decision. Then the last videos where they directed us to their new channels but after seeing Lee had only post 3 and nothing for 2 years I suddenly came across this. I can’t believe it! I’m genuinely heart broken. What an absolute tradgedy. Thank you for letting us know. I’m sure I won’t be the last to find this and be shocked. My heart goes out to those who knew her. To be fair, no one knows exactly why she took her life, it’s all speculation, only Lee knows why. If you saw Max’s recent video, he spends a good amount of time asking that people don’t troll creators. He said Lee had a very difficult time with the negative comments and he wished he had done more to help her with it. He said he has to live with that for the rest of his life. There is a lot of emphasis from him, her friends and family that this magnitude of bullying took it’s toll. If this wasn’t that big of a contributing factor, they wouldn’t be focusing that much on it and they are. Teens commit suicide all the time due to bullying, can you imagine getting it on the level she was? I can tell you, because I get it too, it messes with your mind and it’s not easy. I’ve considered ending my channel time and time again because of the negative comments, but I know there are way more good than bad. I try to focus on that, but I still can’t shake some of the really bad ones. They take your breath away and make you wonder why you are doing this at all. They are psychologically damaging. I think that last one on her phone was the catalyst. Just my opinion though because no one really knows for sure.

Your video describes exactly how I feel about Lee...I can't get her off my mind. I knew her from Emean and Bec and watching their travel and quarantine videos with her. I think about her last moments and wonder what she was thinking... I too initially thought she had walked on to the tracks and couldn't fathom how she had done that but in reading articles about the death before she was identified as the victim, it appears she jumped off the overpass and wasn't already on the tracks. Which leads me to wonder if she changed her mind after she jumped...what was going through her mind at that moment...and it just breaks my heart. I just can't imagine it to be real 💔 😔 💔 Her video a few months ago seemed so optimistic and she had such support and coping tools 😭 She was so in love with Jordan... It's a complete tragedy and I pray she is now at peace and that her loved ones can somehow move forward 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

@@Pozleigh Hi there...I just posted another comment on this page...something about a medication reaction is the only thing letting me process this horrible situation. Not many specific details, but I have seen anti-depressants sometimes have the complete OPPOSITE effects than their intended desired outcome. Sadly, we will never know.

@@cariwilband2540 that definitely could have happened but like you said, we'll never know 😔 She said she was only on like 10mg of her meds, the least she could have prescribed and it just alleviated the feeling of the heaviness in her chest. Then again who knows what happens behind closed doors or if that had changed since. Maybe it was that Dave2D guy who roasted her on line who got to her or maybe something happened in her personal life or relationship we're not privy to...I just listened to her guest appearance on the REROOT podcast and I JUST CAN'T comprehend how she was so happy and positive on 3/1 and no longer with us on 3/26... What happened to make such a drastic change in her life? She was such a beautiful person inside and out and so self aware. My heart is breaking and I just can't get her off my mind, it seems so surreal.

@@Pozleigh I've been reading different things on line to try to make sense of it all. I realize it's really not any of my business but I just feel a need to know more... I can't explain why, but it has really effected me. I need to try wrap my head around it all so I'm hunting for as many facts as possible to understand it the best I can. When she was reported missing by her loved ones they did say she had been expressing suicidal thoughts so it must not have come out of the blue. Recently a woman had died hit by a train in her area so maybe that gave her the idea... I read a headline that she was actually the 3rd person to be hit by a train in the area. I'll post some links to things I read that might be helpful for you to understand better too. Her poor boyfriend 😭 She referred to him as her future husband! He must be so heartbroken and feel so guilty (even though it's not his fault). If only time could be turned back, if only she had called Jordan, Bec, her family, a friend or her doctor instead of going to that overpass!!! Someone commented that maybe if Occy had still been with her she'd still be here because in an interview she said one time when she was suicidal she didn't do it because she couldn't leave Occy but I'm pretty sure Jordan lived with her from an Insta post she made saying "they" needed to get a new place and he has a dog... It does make me sad to think that if Max & Lee had never started a KZbin channel this most likely wouldn't have happened because her depression stemmed from all the public exposure, pressure and cyberbullying 😭😭😭 Soooo many what ifs...but I can't think like that. It is what it is. I can't find where I read it but in one of the articles I believe it said it was a confirmed suicide which makes me think it may have been caught on camera or there were definitely witnesses as mentioned but not confirmed in one article. In one thread of train chatter (after reading 3rd link down scroll down all the way and read comnents) a person who was on the train comments and said they hit a 2nd person that day too. I just can't begin to imagine someone ending their life that way, it's just so extreme!!! The poor conductor 😭😭😭😭😭 I'm not sure if you saw her Instagram yesterday but they brought her home and had some sort of gathering in her memory and lit candles in her honor. They posted a beautiful picture of her at peace on the beach which is how I like to picture her now. Hey Deanna, I listened to REROOT also and realized that was recorded before she traveled down to California, I'm guessing around December 2020. She was definitely still in Canada at the time of the recording. Eamon and Bec probably recorded a bunch of episodes and were slowing releasing them a week at a time, that's common in podcasting. Anyway, I had been under the same impression that she had taken her life 3 weeks after the podcast, but it had only been released on March 1st. I've watched her last KZbin video and could feel this sense of being overwhelmed with editing, content and timelines. She was promising weekly videos and stopped Feb. 7th. Nothing after that. She was dealing with something. I have a theory about her troubles, I don't think she was in love with Jordan at all, she was trying to fill a void - Max. There was zero chemistry between Jordan and Lee (just none, he's no Max)...Max and her were what people dream about when they want that beautiful fairy tale romance. Her affection for Jordan feels totally put on for the camera. I think she made a decision to leave Max and traveling because she thought that's what she wanted and she regretted it, she saw Max moving on and she tried to move on with new things (golf, cycling, Jordan, new van, new place, new location, new channel). Now she has to prove to everyone that all of this was worth leaving Max, always having to prove because she was ridiculed for leaving. The pressure became too much and she got in too deep. I absolutely agree that she wouldn't have gone down this hole otherwise. The last screenshot on her phone was that of a nasty message from someone on KZbin trying to give her their "advice" (I read that on a post from Sophie Jaffe, one of her friends). I too, cannot stop thinking about the actually moment it happened. Did she wish a split second before that she didn't want to die. Did she jump? Was she just standing there waiting? I can't stop thinking about this woman who was so in tune with her physical body would end her life in a way that would mutilate her vessel like a train would. I don't mean for that to sound shallow, I just blows my mind. The terror she must have experienced right before, I just can't wrap my head around it. Maybe I should make another video. I swear, I didn't realize I had so much more to say. It's eating at me. I did read about the service also, I'm all over the web trying to find any new piece of information. ALSO, Max's last video is of him and a new lady friend spending a weekend together alone in her van. It was clearly not a just friends weekend. There were shots of him running naked to the water, the girl is flirtatiously playing with her hair constantly. That was released February 28th. Maybe I'm wrong, but as much as she had seemed to have moved on, she even said on Reroot that watching Max's videos had been tough, I think she just wasn't over him. Having to see him vanning with another woman made me feel sick honestly. It felt weird and wrong after seeing Max and Lee on their many adventures and their chemistry. I think she had a mountain of sadness, pressure, confusion, depression and bullying that tipped her over the edge.

Tragic. Yes I have cried too this week. I never knew her met her nothing. Just her videos of this young woman with a great personality and caring persona having the time of her life with her partner. So beautiful, so sweet yet there was depression going on to the point where she couldn't go on anymore. Her Boyfriend Jordan left a heart breaking message on his Instagram along with a video of her going for a morning swim and then she was gone just a few hours later, he says. He said that he understands that he will never understand

I learned about or yesterday, as I looked for news about Occy. It swirlls in my head, and occupies my thought. As i know firsthand about the pain in depression i can imagine that sometimes to step out of life is the only way to stop the pain. My father did it, and i tried, but fortunally got good help. I cannot say why Lee took of, but i respect het choice and will greeve. I am sad😪

Not sure why social media platforms allow this. Each account that cyberbully gets lifetime blocked, that easy. It's not ok and shouldn't be on any social media. Words can really hurt and cause serious actions. Though I'm still wondering if there was foul play in this suicide/murder.

Oh my God I agree with you I didn't know who she was until this happened and I can't stop thinking about it and it's so sad because she didn't give any indication in her videos . I feel bad for her present partner cuz everybody keeps talking about Max and I feel sorry for him but I feel sorry for Jonathan cuz that's who she was with. I can't imagine how much hurt she felt to stand in front of a train really being in pain to want to have that pain . Thanks for the video I hear what you're saying cuz I feel the same way
