Good call. Or it could have been a stash for stolen goods over the years. Commit the crime and then dump the goods in the mine. Wait for things to cool down then return and if anyone catches you , you just say you found this stuff whilst spelunking. Keep the good stuff and discard the rest - hence the piles of shoes.

That is 1000% what it was, the pheromone smell makes some animals think its meaty and freshly dead so try to eat it, have tons of trouble because its a shoe, then try to take it somewhere else to really dig in and once it doesn't work, they leave it in their little graveyards.

Its not an uncommon thing so most professional groups may record the event for a variety of reasons often to just cover themselves that they did everything by the book & what not but in any case the second even a hint of a body or foul play the police are suppose to be called & everything stops until cleared by police. I've seen it even on archaeology sites via youtube or actual tv filming they come across sings of foul play a body that looks more resent then should be or things like bullet casings. I saw one archaeology team dig for a uk network where they were in scotland digging up an old ruined site & suddenly they found a skull only partly with what appeared to be a bullet hole & modern shell casing near by they called the police & futher investigation near by found a decomposing leg & foot suggesting the head might have been old but suggesting even more likely a crime happened there. So the show had to end & a full investigation was conducted by scotland yard & all they would say to the team was that in fact a murder had happened within 12 months of being found given body conditions. LOL Cars in lakes & rivers are no joke & while they may not always have bodies or being crime victims you always have to be careful & prepared for the unexpected. I always expect a sunk car in a lake or river to have a body until it doesn't & like in this video you many not immediately see sign of it until the car is again moved or even out of the water like in this case & the water & debris of the lake time or river are removed. And a body in a submerged car isn't always a crime it could be just a tragic accident but that's why police are suppose to be called & everything stopped until they can confirm.

With the story in the lake, that is a truly harrowing experience. Imagin going out to clean the environment, trying to educate people on how badly things like cars contaminate water, then discovering a decade old corpse.The unfortunate man's body was clearly so badly decomposed that it took several seconds the camera guy to even RECOGNIZE it as a body. It is also clear he was horrified by what they found, freaking out immediately and swerving the camera away as they asked to call the cops. Given how amicably the family reached out, they were as respectful as they could be, and they found a way to provide closure that would otherwise never be found.

It's actually a river.
@gnarthdarkanen7464 Жыл бұрын
Regardless of "age" or exposure, it's always going to be a bit creepy and shocking to stumble on a corpse when you're not actively looking for one... and sometimes it can be pretty rough finding the one you ARE looking for actively... BUT when you're recovering vehicles from waterways, ponds, abandoned pools, lakes, rivers... whatever... You've GOT to accept the fact that cars don't dump themselves into lakes and rivers and the like. While there are plenty of ways for a vehicle to accidentally end up rolling into a waterway, there are still ONLY so many ways that happens, and 90% or more REQUIRE human interaction somewhere. The most frequent accidents involve driving the car, so somebody was inside it and likely traveling down the nearest road or across the nearest bridge at some point when "everything went wrong"... SO if you're going to recover vehicles from water, sooner or later, some of those vehicles are going to have a corpse (or even more than one) inside them when you get there. It's a fact of life. That may not make the discovery much easier, and certainly stands as a cold comfort when it's your first time ever finding a corpse in a car... BUT it's not something to panic or freak out about... AND frankly, I don't think the camera-guy of the moment was actually freaking out. He got a little excited about it, but knew instantly what needed to be done. GET the authorities involved, and stop whatever else is going on as quickly as possible to preserve whatever evidence might not yet be contaminated. In recovery, we don't have too much to worry about as far as obstructing justice or facing criminal charges, BUT it's just good form to cease and desist until police can get there and decide HOW THEY WANT to proceed. It may well be hopeless to find any evidence of what "really" happened or to investigate a criminal activity or whatever, BUT just in case it's not hopeless, doing our best to preserve whatever we can, and get as much information to the cops as possible is our best option to maybe help the investigations go as well as they can. I once found what I thought to be a corpse in the woods. I had a primitive Garmin GPS navigator on me, and just posted a way-point for the location, and then left a bright rag tied to a nearby tree. I backed away, and went out to find a Ranger so I could bring someone IN UNIFORM ON DUTY to the location to "check it out" before anything got further screwed up than it already was... Turned out to be a bear shot the year before. It was poached and somehow "obviously out of season"... BUT the bones of a bear's hind foot look DAMNABLY close to the same as a human and I ain't no podiatrist... SO "better safe than sorry"... NOT that poaching is a small thing... I just count it a little less intimidating than finding a serial killer's dumping ground or trophy spot or some sh*t. In any case, it's just my take. They did about right in that situation, and it probably won't be their last run-in with an abandoned corpse... These kinds of things DO happen. ;o)
@MM-jf1me Жыл бұрын
@@gnarthdarkanen7464I've heard at least three stories where someone mistook a bear's skeletized paw for a human hands -- they must look incredibly similar for it to keep happening. As for the salvager with the car: I think he was horrified that he had accidentally broadcast a corpse live to his followers -- that group is usually respectful of the feelings of the deceased's family and don't mean to show human remains on their channel. So: I agree with you he wasn't scared or freaking out because he found a body in a car.

Then, all of this on camera, he hears the footsteps and voices of the drug dealer and quickly hides in a room. The two involved in the deal were suspicious but never caught him. Running _toward_ screams you randomly hear while walking in the woods could pose some possible issues, so I don't know if that's necessarily a great idea... I agree w/the sentiment, but maybe approach cautiously instead? People disappear w/out a trace while walking in the woods w/shocking frequency all over National parks, so just be aware of that before you go chasing screams in the forest is all I'm sayin' ✌🏻🧔🏼♂️
@King-qc7mu Жыл бұрын
Thats very true, you definitely want to be careful. Although it's upsetting to know that those people who heard the screams were possibly so close to a person that could've been alive if they had possibly called the cops for the area, if they had investigated themselves there's a strong possibility that they would've gotten very hurt as well or even killed. Calling the cops is definitely a good go if you think something suspicious is going on in an area, rather than putting your own life in danger :( But I too am very happy they were able to find that poor girl, she was very brave for coming up to some strangers who didn't speak the same language, I hope she's doing much better now and that adventure is nothing more than a bad memory.

He got together with another YTer and threw together a team to pull it out. It was there he found his first "calling".. his channel shifted almost entirely to working with his new found team to clean up cars. After they found Timothy - their purpose changed entirely. The body in the lake reminds me of something that happened a couple of years ago in my local town. They were clearing a river for the build of a new aqueduct, and found a car containing two bodies. After some research, they discovered that it was a mother and daughter from a nearby town. They went missing 10 years before they found them. The mother was teaching the daughter how to drive (which is illegal in my country btw) and they lost control at a corner and went into the water. They got trapped and drowned. No one ever noticed any signs of a crash, even though it's an urban area. I have swum in that area (and on top of the car) multiple times, and used to cycle past that spot every day. Really weird finding out two missing people lay there a few meters away from me all that time. Makes you wonder how many missing people are just right under our noses. Within the last couple years, I realized that my grandfather (who died 34 years ago) was a pedophile and serial murderer of children and young women (and even some men, because of the trophies he kept). I realized that he had been burning the bones on what we thought was his "brushpile" in the acreage behind his house when I was a kid, and the unhappy children that he was "babysitting" for a friend (children he would not let me meet) were actually his victims. Once, when I thought he was joking with me, he told me he liked to "get a (girl) every week." Even if he only got 1 girl per month, he killed more than 150 people. If he killed 1 per week, his numbers would have been over 600. When I realized what had happened, I called the police in Kansas, who collected the burned human remains from his back acreage. I was astounded to find that most people in my family already knew what my grandfather had done, and they had known for more than 16 years before he died, but no one said anything to me about it, or my mother, who still refuses to believe it. My biggest shock was when the police told me that the human remains had been placed in storage, and that these murders and identifying the victims were a "low priority" case for them, because they had living murderers they needed to stop, rather than focusing their efforts on a dead murderer. Recently, I have realized that the local police MUST HAVE KNOWN what he was doing, because it was apparently an open secret in the small town he lived in. So, the question is, are pedophiles protected somehow? Are they just allowed to roam around killing children?

It would be very interesting to find a follow up story on the little girl found in the cave, since she was missing. This year I was in my hometown, in Sicily. We drove to a small town and while there we noticed an abandoned house that seemed to have been lived in from around the end of 1800/start of 1900. This is quite a normal occurrence, and if you've ever been in Sicily, you have definitely seen thousands of such houses scattered everywhere, from farmland to the middle of high density areas. It was a very small two story home (just two rooms) in the middle of land, and we immediately noticed that on the first floor there were lots of children's shoes scattered about. I'm talking decades old shoes made of leather. The house didn't seem very stable, but those of us who went up stairs ended up finding hundreds of them. There was in indendation in the wall, and in there, I found a pile of shoes that went up to my knees. This was definitely the house of a poor family, and even as my grandparents were young, the majority of the population could barely afford shoes, let alone incredibly well made leather shoes for their small children. I really wonder what the story is there.

There was a group of KZbinrs I remember who went to an abandoned hospital and found a dead body. Similar to how Sam and Colby's content can be kinda untrustworthy, is the same for them, but I'm fairly certain it was like the real deal, just by how they reacted to all of it. The video's gone unfortunately, but if people remember any videos from OmarGoshTV lmk- EDIT: I ended up finding the video from Moe Sargi's POV. They went to a prison, not a hospital. Though OmarGosh did go to the prison in a previous video, and it was teased in the comment section that Moe would be in the next one. Things to note from the video before the body was found is that there's plenty of graffiti art teasing the whereabouts of the body.

@Biomess1 Жыл бұрын
I think that recovery was their first time finding a person inside of the car, they were live streaming and didn't know someone was inside, so now when they bring cars up, they check first before recording inside the vehicle as they don't want to put that out there for people to see. Since that time, they have solved MANY missing persons cases by researching and talking to the family, and then running sonar over the areas ponds, lakes, and rivers. Unfortunately the original group broke up, and there's been some negativity surrounding them, but they still do their thing and pull cars out and search for reported missing people.

Right, so no one in these comments seems to know the full story behind the 5th video. In the full version, you can see the kid and their family enter the cave at the same time as the youtubers. The kid followed the youtubers into the deeper part of the cave. They didn't just randomly find a kid in the middle of the cave. She was crying because they were about to leave and she realised she didn't know where her family was. They would have been found pretty quick even if they'd left them there because, you know, the family was still in the cave about five minutes away.
