Regular jello has too much granulated sugar in it and as you said it would be too sweet and a bit gritty I think .

I can taste the tang from here! Looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I find that wax paper always leaves some coating on my hot foods so I have tended to stick with parchment paper (no pun intended) but it looks like it worked fine for you for this!

I agree about the waxed paper, the white candy melts have a fairly low melting point, so it isn't too bad in this one.

Do you knock the air out of your cakes before putting into the oven? Also I thought instead of Jello powder you could try KoolAid, that way there is just flavouring no sugar or gelatin! ❤

Kool Aid would be a fantastic idea! We can't get powdered kool aid packets here anymore, just the liquid stuff. I've never knocked air out of a cake before putting it in the oven, what am I missing? This particular cake doesn't have any leavening agent in it, so I think the air is necessary to get a good texture.

Even though this isn’t considered as a frozen treat for the summer, I definitely like all of the layers that’s in there! I hope that you actually go back to working on some more frozen treat recipes in the future on your channel.
