I was at work the day Scott passed away and had been talking to a lady who knew him as a friend. She said he was a lovely man . He is one true singer .

John and Scott have both gone. The hard part of getting older is losing people you love but may never have met. Bowie, Lenny Cohen, and Scott, I loved all of their contribution to the world's rich culture.

Has there ever been a more beautiful voice than Scotts? Not to mention his drop dead gorgeous looks, pure heaven to listen & watch
@daisyflowers933410 жыл бұрын
Drop Dead Gorgeous Is Right!... lol His voice is out of this world. I just wish he could have kept making records that are mainstream. His work has been quite different, and not really for most of us, although there is an listening audience for avant-garde and really dark music I guess. John was handsome too, and could play a guitar, expertly.
@chrisb12619 жыл бұрын
Yes I agree that I also wish Scott had sang mainstream and kept up the big ballads which his voice was made for. I dont understand his more recent work at all and it seems such a waste of his beautiful voice. He appears to have lost his drop dead gorgeous looks too but I will never forget how wonderful he looked and sounded in the 60s & 70s. John was a very talented guitarist and had a good voice too but everyone was 2nd best alongside Scott!

It's a wonderful tune. Tom Rush is the writer, The walker brothers made it famous and put Tom's kids through collage with the royalties. Midge Ure did a very nice cover in the Walker Brothers style (more royalties) and Emmylou Harris also. U2 are doing something with it too. Tom's version is very country obviously. The walkers to me capture it. Cheers

If John taught The Beach Boys ,,Carl Wilson to play guitar,,why did he not play on this record and hire Alan Taylor. Maybe getting confused with The Rhinestone Coyboy,,,,methinks
