Great list and out of the 10, my personal favorite is Yusei vs Aki as how much their dragons represented them both as Stardust protects others from destruction and Black Rose destroys everything including itself and especially how Stardust hugs Black Rose like Yusei will take Aki's pain and reaches through to her

Dylan the last duel in 5D's between Jack and Yusei IS my favorite duel in all of Yu-Gi-Oh, no contest. Masaaki Endoh and the greatest hits of the 5D's OST playing in the background, and the outcome of the duel reaching beyond the two of them to inspire their friends to pursue their goals by leaving Neo Domino City still gets me every time I rewatch.

That duel is my favorite too. I just love how Yusei ends up winning not because of Stardust but because of his other monsters that have been with him since the start of the show. It made for an incredible ending, along with everything you mentioned.

5ds could of had at least 2 or 3 more arcs, 1 focusing on that kid who wanted to steal stardust dragon, another on the arcania movement and another focusing on the friends that yusia left behind basically becoming bitter because he left them pretty much after the dark signers arc.

Team 5Ds vs Team Ragnarok (amazing sequence, especially Yusei's part) Yusei vs Zone (Shooting Quasar summon and the final Stardust attack was just perfect. And Shooting Sonic was perfect) Yusei vs Roman Goodwin (Yusei's outburst is perfect) Yusei vs Aki Aki vs Misty Yusei vs Kiryu Yusei, Crow and Jack vs Goodwin Crow vs Bomber Jack, Rua and Ruka vs Aporia Yusei vs Jack (Fortune cup) Honorable Mention: Yusei's 1 turn 3 kills in Crash town. Overall, 5Ds has so many great duels and it is also why it is my favorite Yugioh series.

Two of my favorites are Zone vs Aporia and 5ds vs Taiyo. Zone vs Aporia is just very well executed, and I'm a sucker for noble sacrifices when death is pretty certain. Aporia is also one of my favorite characters, and I felt this duel was his perfect end. Taiyo had just a very fun to watch duel. Jack getting pissed at cards like Fake Trap and Scrum Force stopping his 1-of-a-kind Signer Dragon is hilarious to watch, and I love how Yusei takes the flag unsure of how to defeat Zushin. The moment he realizes Zushin's role was one of my most surprised moments in the series.

1. Jack vs Yusei (two final episodes): i really loved it when they showed Rally and the gang and that Yusei used Junk Warrior instead of Stardust Dragon to end the duel. 2. Lotten vs Yusei and Kiryu: the moment Kiryu smiles at Lotten with this purple aura around him, and every scene with Des Gunman made me satisfied. 3. Jack vs Devil's Disciple: do i really have to say it? RED NOVA DRAGON!! 4. Jack vs Carly: when Yugioh creates love, it creates it dark and sinister and i love it, also Asla Piscu is my favorite Earthbound Immortal. 5. Aki vs that knight dude: that duel introduced us to Aki's powers and to one of my favorite decks in the game, plant lock-down. 6. Aki vs Misty (second duel): Misty's backstory, along with these creepy mirror scenes and Divine's return/demise were all awesome. 7. Yusei vs Ushio (first episode): the first introduction to a full turbo duel. 8. Yusei vs that academy professor: all those references to GX with the Ancient Gear deck and duel academy. 9. Team 5D's vs Team Unicorn: Team Unicorn's story is nice, so as their playing style, only thing i didn't like was Jack's loss. 10. Sherry vs Aki and Crow: i loved the switcheroo thing and the fact that Team 5D's studied each other's decks to a level they know them by heart.

I was just thinking that myself, the lead up to Luna getting Ancient Fairy Dragon back was I dont even know how I would describe it, it was so important and so hyped up, I've since tried to go back to watch that entire four part episode and count how many times "Ancient Fairy Dragon" is mentioned and eventually I lost count got bored and forgot what I was doing, not that its a bad thing mind you just one of those things I did not pick up on during the first watch.

Honestly I think it's un-questionable that Yusei properly lost against Kiryu, as the way I understand it: If you crash, that equals a legitimate loss in a Riding Duel. One thing that got my attention about Kiryu is that, both in the Anime duel along Yusei, as well as when he was dueling Jack on the manga, Kiryu used moves that alternated defeat conditions. That is, in both cases his life points were reduced to 0, but he still didn't lose the duels, which is something quite unusual in the entirety of Yugioh's world. When he uses his Infernity Zero to defend against Lotten One Turn Kill Gattling Ogre's damage effect; as well as when he also does not lose the duel when Jack uses his Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend to seemingly beat him. I so much enjoyed his duels! Also, for the record, the episodes on Crash Town of Yugioh 5Ds are my favorite episodes on the entire Yugioh Series. It's such a dramatic change to see Kiryus personality switching from the way he was to how depressed he got; and the way the children end up being his motivators for wanting to live. His interaction on the rail with their father was also quite sentimental. Furthermore, I have a soft spot for good villains! Lotten is such a Villain character in the story, and I love the way he faces Yusei And Kiryu at the same time - with an advantage of starting off with 10 cards on his hand. I think that was pretty villainish as well as bold at the same time. Anyway, great video! I hope this comment sort of enriches your content somehow. Loved to see your analysis.

Yusei may seem bland but that's because he suppressed his guilt as much as possible, resulting in him coming off as silent and stoic. Yusei vs Rudger was the time he snapped and couldn't suppress it any longer.

One duel I really enjoyed was the Team Taiyrou duel with Jushin the sleeping Giant. That was an awesome duel and I loved those guys as a result. I also loved Team 5Ds vs Team Unicorn or Team 5Ds vs Yiliaster. Also when Jack dueled that one guy and wouldn't pay the fine.

There are many duels I love from the dark signers arc in 5Ds. Ones that lacked being great duels still carried heavy emotions with them. For example being Carly vs Divine that only took two turns to conclude. But it was heart breaking to watch what happens to her

Here's my top five, in no particular order, that I remember the best (though number four I didn't get to see, sadly): 1) Yusei and Kalin vs Lotten - While I was annoyed at how the dub ended this duel, I still loved every moment of this duel. Even though I didn't get to see the Japanese version's ending, I was able to play a similar version in Yu-gi-oh World Championship: Over the Nexus, which was very satisfying indeed, no pun intended. Plus, ever since seeing them in Team Satisfaction in the flashbacks in the anime, so I was wishing for a team-up between them, and boy, I was not disappointed! 2) Yusei vs Kalin (Crash Town) - Just a note: I loved all the duels between these two, but it's hard to pick which one I like the best, so expect to see the ones from the Dark Signer Arc later on. Anyhow, I loved the atmosphere in this especially with how Yusei is trying to bring back Kalin with him and Kalin's acting coldly giving up hope. Still, we know that after what happened after the duel and what my first one is there, it's no surprise why I couldn't put this one any lower. 3) Yusei vs Primo - I know Yusei's technically taking over for Visor here, but this one was pretty awesome to me. I mean, they eventually duel inside of a tornado! That's pretty awesome if you ask me. Also, there's a power of friends moment in here that causes the first summoning of Shooting Star Dragon, which dissipates said tornado. Pretty cool, if I do say so myself. 4) Yusei vs Antimony - Even though I never got to see this (dub only crap over here and can't find the duel anywhere else), I've read so much about it on the wiki, and I'd really have loved to seen the spectacle that it was. Bruno/Visor/Antimony is one of my top five YGO 5D's characters alongside Yusei, Jack, Crow, and Kalin, and it was sad to hear how he died, but at least he died doing what he loved and making sure that Yusei could get back in time to help save his friend Z-One from what he'd become. Also, the battle tests all of Yusei's skills that he's learned from Antimony up to this point, including Accel Synchro, in order to beat him. 5) Yusei vs Kalin (Dark Signers second Duel) - As I said before, I loved all of the Yusei vs Kalin duels, but I didn't know how to rank them. The first one was okay at best, but ended in a draw (or loss for Yusei, depending on who you ask), but it wasn't the best one between those two. The second one, however... Man, it was full of emotion, from the summoning of Majestic Star Dragon to Kalin's final words to his friend... Always left me with a tear in my eye.

Great list Dylan! For me, I’d switch #1 and #2. Yusei vs. Kalin was an excellent duel, but, EVERY time I watch Jack/Leo/Luna vs. Aporia, I get CHILLS, and super emotional. Leo becoming the 6th Signer and essentially being the MVP in the duel was AWESOME!

My Top 10 5Ds Duels (No particular order) 1. Aporia vs Leo, Luna and Jack. Makes me cry almost every time! 2. Yusei vs Akiza rematch. The very first episodes of Yugioh (dub) I ever remember watching, and I got emotional! 3. Yusei vs Bruno finale. The scenery was awesome and the stakes were death! 4. Yusei vs ZONE. That soundtrack was AWESOME! As well as the cards used. 5. Lawton vs Kalin and Yusei. This arc makes me wish that the anime was dubbed by someone like Adult Swim, rather than 4Kids. Considering how they've done Dragon Ball Super, I think it would be in better hands. 6. Team 5Ds vs Team Ragnarok. Cool cards and plays 7. Director Goodwin vs Yusei, Jack, and Crow. I actually don't mind that Goodwin ended up as the final Dark Signer 8. Yusei vs Primo. I've always thought it would be cool if the Meklord Emperors were 5-part monsters in the actual game, or if we could have seen each of them be fully upgraded in the show. 9. Team 5Ds vs Team Taiyo. Zushin is really cool 10. Dark Signer Arc/Crimson Devil Fight. Really neat cards, characters, and stories

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, I loved the twist that the final boss turned out to be the protagonist gone down the wrong path, which was why I was gutted that wasn't actually the case. Mine off the top of my head, in no order. 1. Team 5D's VS Team Taiyo (I loved those underdogs). 2. Team 5D's VS Team Ragnarok. 3. Yusei VS Aki. 4. Yusei VS Jack (First time (I actually like this one better than their other duels, because Yusei had to go up against Red Demon's AND Stardust. There wasn't as much suspense in the tournament one for me, knowing he'd beaten him not having Stardust to start with, and this time he did)). 5. Crow VS The Clock Guy (I love that Crow loses on purpose to show how there's more important things than winning, pride, ego, etc). 6. Jack, Rua and Ruka VS Aporia. 7. Yusei VS Kiru (first time). 8. Crow VS Bomber (Jack and Yusei needed Crimson Dragon to save their asses to beat the Earthbound gods. Crow could beat one without even having his Signer dragon yet). 9. Yusei VS Jack (last time). 10. Yusei VS Primo (not the best in the first half, but the first summon of Shooting Star Dragon is top-three YuGiOh moments).

I really do love the Jack, Lua, and Luca vs Aporia duel. I mean, Lua becoming a signer is kinda . . . Well, he shouldn't have, but I liked it. It was a phenomenal duel, and probably my favorites, if not the Z-One duel or one of the Yusei vs Jack duels or Yusei vs Bruno/Antimony- or wait, was Antinomy? Damn it. Antimony is a real element, so I read it that way. . .

For me Team 5ds vs. Team Ragnarok in the WRGP is the best duel in Yugioh 5ds. It had the sickest combos and strategies by both sides the whole way. Even from the very beginning with Jack vs. the first member of Team Ragnarok (I forget the names so please forgive me) you could tell it was going to be one heck of a ride. I mean when a duel goes on for 4-6 episodes you know its a good one. This duel was the first time, at least in my eyes, that actually had Jack struggle through most of the duel. Yes I know his previous duels, especially during the dark signer arc, put him in similar situations, but this just felt different for some reason. And seeing Scar Red Nova Dragon vs. Thor was pretty epic as well. And when Crow went up against the second member of Team Ragnarok, I was so excited. The combos Crow pulled were some of the best and most creative combos I've ever seen in Yugioh. And then to top it off you can never go wrong with Shooting Star Dragon especially with how Yusei used Odin's ability against Team Ragnarok to take all three Nordic Gods down was one of the sickest plays I have ever seen. It literally had me cheering when I was watching it for the first time.

I'm not sure what I'd put on most of my list, but I know that Leo, Luna, and Jack vs Aporia is #1 and Jack vs Carly is #2. Normally I would add that the Aporia duel is my favorite duel of all time, but the Blue Angel vs Spectre duel in VRAINS has me conflicted because I loved that one so much.

Yusei and Jack’s final duel should be the definitive number 1 duel in 5ds. That duel showcased both character’s growth throughout the series, as well as the other members. Also, this was the first time that we saw Jack use his synchro monsters outside of Red Dragon Archfiend against Yusei. Then if things weren’t crazy with both Stardust and Red Dragon Archfiend, out comes Red Nova Dragon and Shooting Star Dragon. And when Jack locks Shooting Star’s effect of banishing itself to negate an attack, Yusei has to rely on one of the riskiest traps to ever date, High and Low, a trap that allows you to increase your monsters attack if you draw monsters but you cannot surpass your opponent’s attacking monster. And the final with Going my way playing as Junk Warrior defeats Red Dragon Archfiend is still amazing, which was foreshadowed in the first ever opening intro for 5Ds.

I have no clue what my top 10 duels would be but my favorite might have been Team 5Ds vs Team Taiyo. It was so easy to root for Taiyo as they had a good background story as well. And I just remember from the first time watching it trying to figure out what the hell they were doing by stalling for so long. Then when the big reveal came and they were able to summon their impossible to summon boss monster. It was really exciting.

I agree with your top pick. The result of Yusei's first duel with Kalin showed that he wasn't unbeatable and we could actually relate to him seeing his fear of losing and perceived doubt in himself. This duel also gives their rematch even more meaning. I think this was the duel that really developed Yusei as a character.

This is my own top 10 5D's duels, Zexal will be harder as usual: 10 - Jack x Luka x Lua VS Aporia, sorry in begin when Lua feels guilty it's a little annoying but thank god he became a Signer (a little to late !) 9 - Aki VS Yusei, when they meet each other, it was scary ! I like they were ennemies before. 8 - Yusei VS Z-One, was intense ! I don't have to say more here. I still prefer this duel as with Zarc for last antagonist. 7 - Yusei VS Jack final, the mast duel, last exchange before to separate ! 6 - Yusei VS Kiryu round 2, better than the first for one reason. I still crying for Kiryu disapeared... 5 - Aki VS Misty round 2, the only duel when a monster eat human. Best moment ever, bye Devine ! 4 - Yusei VS Sherry, sorry for this one but I remember their first exchange and Aki discover the feeling about Riding Duel. 3 - Jack VS Carly, the only duel when Carly use Riding Duel. So awesome to see Dark Signer Jack as a new "King". 2 - Yusei x Jack x Crow VS Goodwing, so close to put number 1 but it's a little better Yugi x Kaiba x Joey VS Dartz and Yuma x Kaito x Shark VS Dr Faker. 1 - Yusei VS Roman, I cried a lot each time I watch. Lot moments of sorrow and sad stories here. Yep i like duels not only cards or strategies, their exchange.

All of Yusei and Kiruu's duels tie for the best duels for me. I can't decide which one is the best. I also loved the three on one duel against Aporia. Which I only recently seen because the dub didn't cover it. There was only 20 episodes left too.

First time I totally didn't see that Number 1 coming, but it's a cool choice. A few ones you did not mention but I like: Jack vs The Red Devil Avatar (or something like that?) That one when he gets Scar Red Nova Dragon (sorry if I'm butchering some names, 5Ds was so long ago I should rewatch it). The one vs Team Taiyou when they summon the almost Egyptian God Card. That Crashtown duel in the list made my day. I'm with you there, that arc was a huge hit for me! Funny fact: check the name of the tavern/inn or whatever it was, it's called The Classy Ass xD

Yugioh 5DS will always be my favourite series since it has a lot of my favourite characters you have Yusei my favourite protagonist of Yugioh. Crow was one of my favourite Best Friends in Yugioh. Akiza is my favourite female protagonist (and my waifu) My favourite Archetype was also introduced in 5DS with the Earthbound Immortals. I remember seeing Cocapac Apu for the first time and my jaw dropping.

Cuz as long as the series has went on, there are alot of great duels as well as a few not so great ones here and there, but seeing the duels, the characters, the story all of those reasons are why the anime is so great, and if it weren't for the anime, I probably still wouldn't be playing yugioh today.

I'd say my favorite 5Ds duel was the one between Yusei and Sherry. Not only was she outplaying him for most of the duel, but I was completely enthralled by the dialogue and tension during that match.

There are two great duels that I feel like you should have put on here: The first one is Jack vs. Fake Jack. Robo-Jack summons three Red Demon's Dragons and whittles down Jack's, stating that the degradation of his ace monster is similar to his degradation as a King ever since he started relying on his friends again. Jack delivers a speech about how his bonds have made him stronger, gains the Crimson Dragon mark on his back, top decks Saviour Dragon and summons Saviour Demon Dragon, boosts his monster to 7000 attack and absolutely destroys robo-Jack. It's one of his best character moments, hidden in a random filler mini-arc. The second is Yusei's match against Placido. The sequence where he successfully summons Shooting Star Dragon for the first time never fails to give me chills.

How can I agree more with this?? This is almost my top 10. I’d change the number 1, tho. For me, the BEST duel (#1) is the last duel: Yusei vs Jack. It’s so emotional, because everyone isn’t ready to take off and separate and it’s shocking how Yusei convinces everyone to follow their dreams but says he’s staying. A scene so heartbreaking because no one wants to be separated from their friends. Besides, Antinomy vs Yusei would be in my top as well

My favorite duel is easily yusei vs antinomy R2. There is so much emotion and so much riding on that duel. For yusei it was either kill his cherished friend Bruno or be killed and have the arc cradle crash into neo domino city. The back and forth between these two is astounding as antinomy brings out tech genus halberd cannon on just his 3rd turn. This duel may have been a little quick given it’s importance come to think. However cinematically it pleases me more than any other duel in 5Ds

A lot of the same ones make my top 10. Some ones that didn't make your cut that are in mine: Yusei vs Aki round 2. The emotion as she regains her family and lets go of the past is fantastic. Yusei vs Placido/Primo: the OG summon of Shooting Star Dragon along with the debut of the song "Clear Mind" is the best sequence in the show. The only negative is the random monster discard by yusei to make it to that turn.

One of my favorite 5ds duel that got cut in the dub. Is been a whiled so i don't remember the monster name. But it was the duel in the second tournament where they had to stop the other team from summoning that 10 turn buda monster. The whole duel was really epic and still don't know why it was not shown.

I would have added three more duels that I feel were excellent: Yusei vs Jack (the final one), Team 5Ds vs Team Unicorn and Yusei vs. Antinomy. All of these showcase some nice writing, decently choreographed duels and exemplify the characters brilliantly. I would have rated the 5Ds vs. Team Ragnarok a little higher. I loved the dynamic throughout the duel: the clash of tytans between Jack and Dragan, the intelligent and trap laden battle of wits between Brave and Crow and the true chess match between the two masterminds of each team all made for excellent duels.

My favorites are Yūsei v Aki during the tournament and Crow v the Security. The former because I’ve always thought Aki was a major step up to Asuka. Dark past, powers, resentment towards her family, the world, a bit for herself, the dark pleasure that she felt inflicting pain (which tells me that if Yūsei and Aki did get together, Yūsei is a masochist and I’m kind of ok with that?) was such raw emotion that I was even uncomfortable watching this in the dub! Too bad she sort of fell off as a character, but that doesn’t make that duel any less great. Crow v Security because Crow’s my favorite character.

Hey Dylan, about number 5, it’s a coincidence that you mentioned thinking Jack would join the dark signers (I might be paraphrasing or misremembering). Anyway, the original story was that Crow was supposed to become a Dark Signer and the main antagonist of the respective arc and the mark that the Crimson Dragon gave him was supposed to go to Leo (Lua). However, because of the immense popularity of the Blackwings, the creator of 5D’s changed his mind and Crow became the fifth signer and not the final antagonist of said arc.

good list, here are some of mine. 1) Yusei vs Kiryu (Round 1) -Round 2 is great too but it is so dark that a kid should never watch it. It can really create at trauma in persons soul. Also emotional people should stay away from that duel too. Round 1 is a better duel, less dark(but still dark as hell), and introduction to earthbound immortal in a really cool way. 2) Carly vs Jack -This one has it all just like the 1st one. At first jack summons nothing because he has a hand trap but also he thinks that carly is weak. Then carly summons two monsters to otk him and jack with his balls dropped said "Carly, you are serious !😮 " Such an amazing intro. Then Jacks escape from carly's illusion because of carly's old glasses that he kept with himself all the time was the best moment of all yugioh. New dark carly was sexier, serious and more like jack however her glasses was symblosed old carly which was a bit lame yet innocent and true hearted. The carly that changed jack to become a good person. How could you not like this duel. Carly's death in the end was saddest. 3) Lotten vs Kiryu and Yusei Like in the video, this is not a straightforward duel with gods and stuff. That ending with des gunman was amazing literally best ending to any duel ever created. Also team satisfaction reunion, kiryu using yusei's motorcycle etc. So many great moments here. Jack abusing barbara was hilarious 4)Yusei vs Zone -Epicness, everytime a timelord summoned you wondered what kind of broken effect it had. You thought that duel ended when quasar summoned. Yet zone revealed the ultimate timelord and shit continued. There were so many critical moments thay yusei had nothing on his hand or field. Yet he somehow managed to survive. Amazing duel. 5)Godwin vs Yusei,Jack and Crow -Godwin is such a boss. He took all signer marks on his chest like a boss. He didnt stole the marks. He actually gained the interest of crimson dragon. Because godwin wanted to end the meaningles battle between gids and create the world again. Him using both dark and normal synchro monsters were cool and fitting his goals. He gave Jack, yusei and crow one turn each in exchange of having 12k lp and that was putting godwin in a huge disadvantage. Yet he really pushed all 3 in the corner. 6) Yusei vs Roman As explained in the video. 7) Carly vs Divine Carly's death and revival was epic. She is the only one that show us how a person becomes dark signer 8) Team Taiyou vs Team 5ds Team taiyou was amazing.Their backstrories were so impressive that I actually wanted them to defeat team 5ds 9) Jack vs Yusei This is the yugi vs kaiba of 5ds. It is not aa good but still a amazing duel wit crimson dragon showing up 10)Yusei vs Antinomy Delta accel synchro ! Halberd cannon choking shooting star dragon and getting his ass back to field from banished zone was the my favorite part in this duel

I still think the final duel between Jack & Yusei in S5 is one of the best in the series by far and the way it ended couldn't have been better and I feel like they subtlely referenced how that duel ended with how they ended the Yusaku vs Revolver Master Duel Rematch...although the 5D's duel is still superior to that one in my opinion.

I legit dont have top 10 more like a top 20. But honestly, if I had a truly fave duel, it would actually have to be Aporia vs Z-One. Reason 1. Killing off a villain who JUST became a hero. 2. The tears in everyone’s eyes. 3. Z-One showing remorse in the last moment (very hard to notice but you can see it) 4. Using tablets as cards (seriously they looked like those Egyptian stone slabs) 5. Solidifying Bonds Beyond Time as Canon.

Best duels in 5ds. Not in any specific order. Any of the duels in the grand Prix. Those duels were marvelous. From The Sleeping Giant team to Ragnarok they were all great duels. Any duels between Jack and Yusei. They were all powered by emotions and it was acted and shown well pretty good. Yusei v Jakob They deserve they're own part. After seeing Jack and Crow being thrashed by Jakob and his Meklords along with Jakob's LP it was a marvelous duel to watch. Jack v Carly. Just Jack v Carly. Yusei v Rex. Everything Dylan said really. Z-One v Aporia. Aporia knew what Zone's monsters can do but he dueled him to probably give Yusei the knowledge of Zones monsters. Akiza v thingy her Dark Signer. Every signer v dark signer duel is powered by emotions and this is the best example. Aporia v Jack, Leo and Luna. They killed a kid come on. Z-One v Yusei. Probably the best duel in the whole of Yugioh. Not just 5ds. The relentless of the Timelords never ended. And then that Ultimate Timelord was worth watching an episode in a language I don't understand. And then how Yusei defeated that Timelord in one turn was marvelous. All of the dark signers duels come under Akiza v thingy

My favorite duels were definitely yusei vs akiza. They were such heartbreaking memorable duels that really make you feel so sentimental and bad for Akiza, especially since Yusei knows exactly where she's coming from. I mean, the guys from the satellite, so he would be just as angry at the whoal world for bullying him as much as Akiza was or the next guy.
