I played you round 3 at Edison regionals a few weeks back. You destroyed me with this deck. Your video is very useful as I hope to play this deck at Philly. Thanks for all the info!

Minor error at 2:10, I should have been shuffling back Albaz + Mirrorjade, not 2 Mirrorjade, my bad! Everything else still applies, though 😤

Great despia knowledge and theory, all your vids really helped out!!

Question: In your other Despia tips and tricks video, you moved Mirrorjade from the field to dodge negation and said the effect would still resolve. Why doesn’t Chimera’s effect not resolve? I’m still newish to the game and wondering why some effects resolve when the card is moved and why some card effects don’t resolve.
@underkitten2 жыл бұрын
The reason for this is the effect was already activated and thus will resolve. Similarly if you activated chimera and then used comedy to remove from field it would resolve. In this example, the chimera is summoned and banished same chain before it gets window to trigger at resolution of chain.

So wouldn't chaining Ghost Reaper Winter Cherries CL2 in response to Lubellion be an illegal activation if they wait till you declare your materials? Same thing with Rivalry of Warlords, they would have to chain it as soon as Lubellion's effect was activated (and 1 card was sent as cost obviously) but they can't just wait until you move materials around and then react. Legality aside such a late response causes a mess and it's kind of unfair IMO since they're not supposed to know what you're fusing yet, they only know a fusion effect is activated. Not to mention it would be a big headache in a tournament for me to always have to declare what monster I was fusing at the same time as I'm selecting materials. I'd rather select my materials (knowing I have multiple legal fusion monsters to fuse with) and then only reveal the monster when it hits the field. And at the point it's too late for them to respond since I would have already asked them "do you have a response to Lubellion's effect?" P.S. Thanks a ton for making these videos on Branded combos and tips, I can't wait to watch your mirror match commentary :)

at 8:09 would the cyclone user be able to torrential tribute on a new chain?
@RegaliaRising2 жыл бұрын
They would not be able to, as the last thing to happen was Cosmic resolving not the Branded in Red. Torrential is a when effect meaning the last thing to happen In a chain must be the summon of a monster.

So to clarify: If the opponent summons Lubellion and activates its effect, and I chain Cherries to banish Mirrorjade, the opponent CANNOT shuffle Albaz and Mirrorjade to re-summon Mirrorjade, correct? They'd have to Summon another appropriate Fusion. Do you have a link or something that clarifies that ruling? My locals has a lot of Despia and I'd expect a lot of pushback if I tell 'em that.

Thanks for the tips! There's just so many good cards with this deck that I'm having trouble finding my favorite deck list. I'm still trying Brave Branded currently. Do you have a list you've been finding success with?

why cant crow chain to albion at end phase to change its location therefore stopping its effect
@averagegatsby292 жыл бұрын
DD crow doesn't negate, you have to prevent albion from activating in the first place chaining crow to its effect does nothing to stop it
@SamJiangGVYC2 жыл бұрын
You can activate dd crow before end phase tho, and banish the Albion. Then when it gets to end phase, it’s no longer in GY and can’t activate its effect
@averagegatsby292 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's what was covered in the video. But the post I was replying to asked about chaining crow to Albion
@EMODEGEN2 жыл бұрын
@@averagegatsby29 It's already activated in the grave and met it's condition to resolve, you CAN chain crow to it, but it wouldn't change the end result, the turn player would still get their search
@averagegatsby292 жыл бұрын
yes, we're in agreement here

Do you think the pure variant is a lot more common in the TCG because of the absence of Maxx C?
@LeonbowWildheart2 жыл бұрын
that's a good observation. maybe. however the pure variant is just so beautifully consistent.

Omg my opponent played branded Lost in Master Duel Yesterday and I accidentally ashed their Branded Fusion. Aaaaand it Resolved! Negating their fusion. I interrupted their fusions 2 times that game What does that card even do?
@Speedroids2 жыл бұрын
Branded lost prevents negations on activation. Ash negates the effect.
