Evenly Matched is a super rare and it is really good in this format. It can take care of trap decks without dedicating slots for spell/trap removal, which is a plus. I’ve been seeing a lot of Eldlich in ranked so this might me useful for some that feel a type of way about main decking cosmic cyclones and harpies feather duster; and you won’t need to drop ultra rare materials on lightning storm.

Lancea is also a super rare that you can pick up. It does fall into the same problems that the other Super Rare Handtraps fall in, but it's still a nice option to deal with a lot of the high tiered decks in Plat. Eldlich, Tri, etc

These are some great staples, but in this meta I absolutely reccomend cosmic cyclone. It's a super rare, and a great choice against eldlich, VW, zoodiac (Tri and pure), prank kids, sky striker, fluffal and many more decks, it's just amazing at striking down their resource loops and interaction

I'm really surprised how people have not been recommending Evenly Matched, especially in a BEST OF ONE format. It's arguably better than Lightning Storm, since it plays around both Imperial Order and Anti-Spell Fragrance. Blizzard is also a nice R rarity tech against Drytrons to mess up their Ritual summons if you want to be funny.

Do the solo series, you'll get some decent cards. In fact I just completed the world legacy section and it gives you 3 copies of world legacy succession. The early missions give you raigeki, monster reborn, good stuff so you don't need to make them

If you're running a deck that utilises the 'Invoked' engine, I suggest including an 'Invoked Purgatrio' in the Extra Deck. Your opponent will most likely be summoning several monsters, and if they've already Ash Blossomed you in a previous play/turn, you can make Purgatrio with Aleister and the Ash Blossom. Purgatrio gets an attack for EVERY monster on your opponents field, and does piercing damage to defense mode/face-downs. I didn't realise just how useful it was, until I bought it out against a Madolche player, and destroyed him!

Imo I think you should: * Use weaker equivalents of meta staples that are less rare forbidden chalice instead of forbidden droplet for instance * Choose a deck that doesn't need a lot of UR / SR cards

A good beginner tip is to build a bunch of decks in your edit deck section then sift through them and see which deck requires the least amount of UR and SR cards and go from there

Hey, good news on this one, you aren't exactly going to need to make budget versions as this game is very f2p friendly at this moment, and just by doing solo mode you can easily build an optimized meta deck, and replacing cards you don't have with cards like droll, gamma, and D.D. crow are quite the good option

Heavy Slump has been very underrated in a Maxx C heavy meta, since that card turns the Maxx C challenge completely on its head, and since nobody expects Heavy Slump, they won't expect something is up when you keep comboing off after Maxx C has been dropped.

Bruh.. as a 30 year old whoze played this damn game since release and LOVES gb's. I am personally offended 🤣🤣 Man i miss book of mooning my bestiari off a darius effect and then contact into gyzarus for the value mmmmmmmhmmmm lol. But yeah they definitely gave us a few breaks on the SR line up but they got UR's that have NO business being that rare like.. all the face cards, blue eyes, DM, Stardust dragon, Utopia, like some of these you only need 1 of but crafting a blue eyes or a DM for the weeb players has to feel bad when theres ALOT if staple UR's you have to craft that DONT show up in any secret packs. Smh
