One thing I like about Yami Yugi is that he never cheats or fixes the games, and the games themselves are not typically inherently cruel, and yer Yami finds a way to win, beating the villains oftimes quite literally at their own game.

@@jadeshadowwolf717 yeah, I’m fairly certain that Yami would let his target win as long as they don’t try to cheat. You know, his rules are simple: you cheat, you lose. In the manga, he puts coins inside a shoe and tells a scorpion guy they will be playing a game. The rules are simple, they’ll pick coins and switch turns, but you need to be careful, because the guy’s pet scorpion is inside the shoe as well. You know, it’s a fair game, but the guy lets his own greed get to him and tries to kill his pet by sticking a knife into the shoe. And…as you can guess, the scorpion dodges it and bites his owner’s hand. Yeah, he has it coming, and Yami makes a remark that a horrible person will always lose the game of darkness, and how that guy might’ve won if he didn’t try to trade his pet’s life for money.

I wish this iteration was able to see more of the light of day. I like the idea of the pharaoh and the millennium items all being cursed to some degree. The Gallop version does have some of it, like Yugi has to intervene to get Atem not to kill Kaiba, and the millennium items were made from the souls of a massacred village. But I love how the pharaoh has such demonic eyes in this

Okay? so, here's the thing, I really love this dub. I really love that you guys put a lot of work into this dub. you guys are great voice actors. HOWEVER, my issue is, why, are you using the Japanese names? If you are doing the,4kids dub... Then why are you are EW ; York accent for Joey why not just call him Joey why not just call Honda Tristan why not just call anzu Taya honestly that's the only reason why this is not a 100% You're using the English voice actors accents mannerisms however you're not going to call them by their English names man that bothers me!! ❤

I swear to god I remember like two months before the debut of yugioh for a like short time frame of two weeks kids WB aired an English dub of season zero or at least like the first 9 or 10 episodes until the base plot was laid out for all characters then kinda unaired silence and boom duel monsters and not a word of season zero.. if anyone else remembers this please tell me I'm not trippin
