I disagree with stun being on this list. It takes an immense amount of skill to normal summon boarder. You need to have an iron heart as the amount of people that will hate you for normaling boarder puts an immense pressure upon them, do they choose the hate of the whole world, or a potential win against trickstars? It takes an immense amount of skill to make that decision. Also bald.

I think that main reason to play Exodia, Burn or Stun deck, is that, with those deck's, you can survive against broken meta deck's. So i think that, it's not so much about fun. I mean, you build like a fun Raidraptor or Lightsworn or T.G deck and go in tournament with that deck, where everyone play's broken meta decks, that is not fun.

I enjoy stun and control decks. They place a higher requirement on the preparation beforehand (deckbuilding and meta understanding) and playing them is like playing chess with your opponent. Add in a bit of sadistic thrill from shutting down players who like to go all agro all the time and it's a great way to enjoy the game for people who enjoy challenging puzzles.

I think PSY-Frame is debatable. Sure, if you are facing someone who actually knows how to play against it, it gets dull. But at least it forces player interaction, which makes the deck inherently relatively enjoyable at least in my opinion.

I played qli as my first meta deck, it was a pretty big jump from blackwings and it was a good learning curve, I assume me as a player now would hate qli but it'll always have a special place in my heart for paying 800

I remember I played a game against Sky Striker, Mekk-Knight, Invoked, PSY-Frame with my Phantasm Spiral deck and had no issue because Phantasm Spiral doesn't do enough for that deck to go off, I literally floodgated them out of game 1 with a 2900 attack beatstick on board, then soft locked them game 2.

Maybe is just me but i think the concept of boring is a little bit loose in here: For me boring in the sense of the word could be a deck that stalls part or the whole interaction with your opponent. So for me the Number 1 i think is every FTK that exist. *Just imagine this:* - you sit with your opponent - prepare your board (playmat, shuffle your cards, count your side deck/extra deck, etc) - lose the dice (so your opponent goes first) - watch your opponent for literally 10 min. of how he mades a gameplay you can't counter, and lose the game cuz he burns your life to 0 or he tooks all your resources so you have to scoop. is that FUN??

I don't play Blue Eyes (I'm more of a DM player) but I've seen the deck spam Crystal Wing, Hope Harbinger, and Calamities as well as summon Felgrand and Dragon Spirit of White mutliple times to get rid of any and all of your resources. It's frustrating to say the least and the person who uses it never bricks with their hands unless the stars align to curse him.

I think I can understand the reasoning as to why SOME people play stun. Take it from the mind of a person who goes to their locals and attempts to play, but then every time they try to play a card it just get's negated and they lose. They get caught up in a constant loop of sit down, try to play, get rejected, lose. Trying to play what you want to and just getting forced to do nothing is a serious mental blow. They aren't having fun while the other person just has everything run smoothly. They eventually reach a point where they get sick of not being able to do anything that they just want other people to feel the way they feel. So they start playing stun . Sadly, they reach a point where the more they win with stun, the more they feel like they need to keep playing stun or else they end up back at the point of constant losses and being miserable

I liked the vid. I can understand where you are coming from for sure. Greets from Berlin. Although for example Counter faries/boujins(gods?) should be given some credit in terms of their design. Semantics/narratives in the design can bring a certain amount of additinal fun. You only analyze the ludology/play mechanics of the archtypes. The theme of them waiting for you to act in "life" while they sit in the beyond saver and secure in order to judge upon your moves from above (heaven -christian religion) or the beyond (-graveyard boujins...) gives them some sort of eleborate meaning and real world connection/critique etc. behind their design. Its for sure clear that many people will hate such plays but the playing of defenisve judgemental god(s) or godlike creatures is also criticised or portrayed here by playing the decks, which makes them more narrative than for example abc - dragons machines...

I enjoy using what I call Shaddoll Stun because of how pissed off people get. "What I can't special summon 15 times this turn?" *surrenders* or even better, *opponent special summons a Cyber Dragon/Galaxy Soldier not reading Winda* "Why can't I use my cards?" *surrenders* Now it is very out-able and well, all it takes is me not going first and I likely don't have any real plays I can make, but 50% of the time just winning due to opponents ether just raging or knowing they can't get over a 2200 beater without multiple special summons and surrendering is nice. I think in over 30 games with the deck I've only had one person not just surrender upon seeing Winda and it was a E-Hero deck, and he put up a fight but in the end the floating of Shaddolls killed him.

I like bujins. I like that they have so many answers to everything. Since kaiju are a thing, they're bottom tier but I like how u can search and set up ure combos so easily. The bad thing about bujins is the only combo starter is Yamato and Susanoo. The other cards don't help u set up at all. Most of the Bujins cards recycle ure grave but if u run 3 of everything, it's rare that u need to recycle. I don't run many traps in my build. I try to make my deck a out advantage build.

I entered into pendulums and the competitive side of yugioh with qli. I played towers turbo with more emphasis on using the atk reduction qli pendulum effects, and burden of the mighty. While towers did help me win duels I won more with shell. I know a lot of ppl to this day hate qli but I have fond memories of them and will always be my first true competitive deck.

Dino Rabbit is the most boring deck for me to play with. You either open with Rescue Rabbit, banish it, special summon 2 normal monsters of the same name from your deck, xyz Evolzar Laggia, end turn. Or open with Tour Guide, special summon another tour guide, xyz any rank 3 you want, end turn. Every single game. There also wasn't much variants in the way it was built either, except maybe for the extra deck or weird side decked cards. Point is you play against one Dino Rabbit deck you've played with all of them.

I've played Counter Fairy's since it was just Bountiful Artemis basically. I've gone through different variants, some slower, and some more aggressive. The newest support makes the deck more aggressive and you aren't just hiding behind Counter Traps. Even my variant, I tend to Xyz Summon a lot more. Granted, it is not everyone's cup of tea. And it does require a lot of patience and careful planning.

Cause the Deck isn't just a normal Stun Deck despite playing so many traps. It takes a good amount of skill to know when you have to flip which card and also what you negate with Toad as your opponent will bait you most of the time.

If I don't have a zeal for playing a deck then I just don't play with it. It if's no fun and doesn't give me any kind of excitement then there is no point of playing(for me).

Hey, me too. I've always liked Dark Magician. I may go back to Fire Fists if there going to be a decent deck with the new Link. I played Final Countdown for a bit back in the days of DN. I didn't have any fun. Even when I played a Jar deck in hs. But the deck that took the most fun out of it for me was Bujins.

Have you ever stunned a person in to ragequiting? It's a weirdly euphoric feeling. Same with counter fairies. But nothing can beat the sheer saltiness caused by my normal pendulums, which is less fun to play against than this entire list combined.

I realized I should explain, when the normal pendulum variant I use fires off it makes the game unplayable. Literally, monsters can suddenly only be set unless they're normal and monster effects can't activate, and the graveyard is locked. The option is it bricks and you lose turn one.
