I'm playing crusadia/world crown/kaiju and for me it works perfectly fine and was under 100$. You can easily otk your opponent with stuff like honest or just using kaijus to get rid of enemy monsters and boost the atk of equimax.

I'm really liking Zombies as a new budget deck since the SD came out. Doomking can negate Ash, Reaper and Belle bc they're zombies. Zombie World stops True Draco from tribute summoning, Thunder Dragons from cheat summoning Colossus/Titan, Paleo from summoning Toad. Super Poly + Dragonecro Nethersoul Dragon breaks an extra link, etc.

The problem with current budget YGO is that in order to optimally play a lot of cheap strategies, you still need a lot of the expensive staples. Yea, you save on not needing 3 engage and widow anchor, but you still need those evenly matched, ash blossoms, borrelsword etc. EG: the zombie deck, doesnt cost that much until you realize that you will need the borrelsword, ash blossoms and ghost belles. Zombie handtraps trigger doomking, so veilers as budget option do not pack that same punch. A lot of the decks I have played over the past half year (ever since grass got banned, RIP) have been 30-70 euro deck cores, with a extra 100-300 on generic cards the deck needs in order to function optimal.

There are many out there on yt actually.Note that the deck is not as good as it used to be but you can still end with a decent board going 1st or otk if you go 2nd

Special summon Curtain Raiser. Normal Summon Darkwurm. Link for Electrumite. And depending on what you Pendulum Summon you can end with Metaltron + Ignister + Norito (literally my favorite board to see) going second or at least get Electrumite out and get Omega out going first. You can also synch Beelze for shit like Ultimate Falcon and whatnot

@@GeneralVan not really, Jeremy Mitchell is correct with the 3x Avian on main deck version. Don't play Curtain Raiser it conflicts with Wurm on the free SS eff. Play Mythical Beast Cerberus at 3 and also Wisdom-Eye, any hand where you have Chronograph and Avian you should be able to get Avian on board for free via Chrono eff and thus have a free negate to protect Electrumite before you summon it. But yh, trying to learn the combos from a build that uses 3-4 banned cards isn't really very helpful.

I think Deskbots should have been in here, I bought a complete deck for under 50 bux and I have defeated sky strikers and cyber dragon decks with it. Even a top 3 (out of 20 players) in a local tournament. So I think thats pritty good, but your list is also awesome!

I think Dinos with the Kaiju Slumber engine are still one of the best options to Go for. You can almost always get at least a board with Laggia or Dolkka and Ultimate Conductor Tyranno which is indeed very strong. UCTyranno is such a unbelievably strong boss monster. With Kaiju Slumber, a baby and Lost World in your hand you have an instant otk.

UCT does nothing to Links and you're talking about using Slumber, a hard draw that is limited. You're probably more likely to draw the Kaijus before Slumber.

OmegaPyron that‘s correct, it was just an example for a very good combo. I don‘t think that UCT does nothing against links. Having 3500 (theoretically 4000 with Lost World) and being able to attack every monster once, it can also clear a board full of links in one turn.

Unfortunately the Striker matchup isn't as prevalent now due to TD, and that's where the Cat engine thrived most. And Crusadias have a really bad matchup against TD because Crusadia relies heavily on their searching effects to get consistency.

Maybe it's the casual duelist in me speaking, but the fact that the Budget decks being suggested are barely changed between the two formats means this format is so stale and not casual-friendly. There needs to be a huge shake-up in the ban list, next month, for the game to be better, I think.

I think the meta decks should change around, but why would you want the budget decks to keep changing? No budget player wants to buy a deck that becomes irrelevant next format. And sorry to tell you this, but no format has ever been casual-friendly. Competitive decks always beat casual decks.

@@zakd2124 I know this, and I think I didn't word my response very well. With both the budget and expensive competitive decks being mostly the same from format to format, it gets difficult to care about diversifying the meta, because - as you say - no one wants to buy a deck that becomes irrelevant next format. It just feels like, with these lists being the same for the last few months, it becomes a matter of "Buy these decks now, or you won't have a chance". Personally, I know that say... my Beast-centric Rank 7 spam deck won't come close to winning any Regionals, but I feel like Yugitubers like Cimooo are ignoring some of the oddities of the Regional or higher tops, like how both Noble Knights and Fluffals topped the recent Oklahoma regional, thanks to the new (or finally released, in Fluffals' case) support; from what I read, there was some serious buzz about how - if the Danger Dark World FTK wasn't the norm, now, and there were a few more hits to Gouki (like Firewall Dragon) - they could possibly be a solid rogue choice for budget players. True, they may be just anomalies that don't repeat, but when that kind of hype goes on for a deck everyone else wrote off, beforehand, shouldn't there be some talk about it? I dunno, I can't really form a cohesive thought about this. I just would like to see more diversity in the decks being played, on both ends of the price tag of the competitive scale. I think it's because it IS a top 5, and not a top 10 or something more broad, to represent the budget decks that are doing well in this meta, and because those 5 don't really change, why bother playing anything else, if you're a competitive duelist? Is there a point to playing "rogue" decks, anymore, in that case, if the budget choices are so fixed, they become a second Meta below the more expensive Meta?

@@jeremyadkins9665 Well most rogue decks are usually not as good as the meta and budget decks hardly ever stand up to the meta; that's just the nature of it. This is something I learned the hard way when I first became competitive--don't go to a tournament expecting to win with a rogue deck. When you play rogue or budget, you have to expect to lose. The meta being not very diverse (I think it's currently the most diverse it's been since a long time ago) is one thing, but expecting to win with budget decks just isn't competitively minded. Neither is expecting to win with rogue. Basically, there IS a point to playing rogue. The point is that with a little luck, you can prove your skill at the game by playing something that just isn't very good. But you have to expect to lose. The Fluffal players and NK players lose many tournaments before they win any (true for all players but for these ones in particular you can see it more). And that's how rogue decks work. I play rogue and get decently far, but I know it's near impossible to win, and if I do, it's my skill or luck, and likely not the deck's power. So Yugitubers may talk about interesting tops for the sake of fun, but they surely have no obligation to do so, because it's kinda a fluke when rogue wins most of the time. I dunno if this was worded well at all but I hope it makes sense

@@zakd2124 I feel like this meta could be a bit more diverse, with some hits curb the rampant use of Firewall Dragon (if not hitting Firewall itself, which we know is highly unlikely) and hand traps, so regular traps that aren't Paleozoics can start gaining purchase again, but that's just me. As I said in the first one, it may be my casual side speaking; I'm much more at home with experimenting with niche decks and making them what I consider viable (at the very least, able to top a locals, maybe the odd Regionals, just enough to show that the strategy is competent enough to not be fully crushed under the meta), so seeing stuff like Fluffal and NK topping a regional makes me smile, because it's tops like that that make me feel like - with the right planning and cards - ANY competently-built deck could get in a top or two. But I realize that's a hangup that I have from my mindset as a casual player. I guess I want to see more of these "flukes' happen, and acknowledged, instead of the same 5 decks being cycled through both the high-priced and budget-priced metas over and over again. Also, if the more expensive meta decks change out, wouldn't that impact what budget decks are viable against them, as well? I don't think we can have a thermocline of metas that aren't affected by changes to the other.

For budget I’d say six sams are definitely the best budget deck being able to go into Number 75 and using it to make 86 unstoppable going first or second makes it that good and it’s easy.
