Yep, around 12€ when I got it, not sure on how much it is right now but that's about it, widow is like 2€ and the only other expensive cards are accesscode talker together with needlefiber. And you run in most builds max 2 roze, then there are of cojrse the hand traps that can differ, imperm is obvious , but honestly anyone who doesn't own copies at this point I don't even know what you are doing this has been the go to hand trap since it's release, then you kight want to have stuff like Nibiru that might be a couple € on top, I do not count ash as she was multiple times already at under 1€ for the ultra even so if you don't own your own copies already I assume you are one of those people who never ever looks up and buys cards unless they are sjper popular and thus super expensive from what they should be worth.

I mean, I got mine in a similar way like ash, I bought it when people moved away from it for a format and it wasn't clear yet if it or veiler was the better handtrap in every Situation (tho I don't know how this is even an argument since infinite has no restrictions and only upsides unlike veiler), so I got it for around 15-20€ per copy some time after it's first reprint, however it quickly went up again or rather settled at the 40€+ mark. I also bought apollousa when she first came out for around 40€ and way shocked how people did not see it comming that this generic negate monster proceeded to become the most played link ever for quite the good amount of time, so I ended up selling her for over 120€. I generelly would advise to not sleep on the meta and cards that are bound to be in the meta sooner or later. Pick them up when they are cheap, best when they fall out of favor like with ash and imperm, and then laugh at people for paying multiple times more than you. It's not always easy to do and certainly very rarely so obvious like with apollousa, but if you try to do that you will not often find yourself in the situation where you lost money, except if you somehow missed a new set that reprints the card, you need to keep those in mind as well.

Right now i have no complaints about the game(maybe except for destrudo but it's not a big deal). I have my favourite decks (DDD, Monarchs and, hell, even sacred beasts) at full power and I'm ok with that as is. Monarchs and Sacred Beasts are my bricky, casual control decks and DDD is the big board, three negates combo deck, what else could I ask for. I love this game and I'm happy with the decks i love to play!

@king zaxa while this is a fair point we do have to take into consideration that since these aren't the most competitive decks but good within a budget these deck prices arent going to change unless they have a major top or many years pass. So it makes sense that the budget decks arent going to change too much compared to the top meta decks which alter on formats and new releases disregarding price. So unless one of the top decks has a sudden drop in price due to falloff or reprints or another budget friendly deck comes out this list isn't going to change. However i do believe that it is healthy for him to release essentially the same video every month in the event that there are sudden price drops on a few select cards or a decent deck comes with a new set but isn't held back by cost. Accesscode talker is not required for sky striker and salads, however I wouldn't say it's easiely replacable, it destroys the whole board of your opponent without being able to do anything about it, on top of being able to OTK.

I would argue, that even tenyi might be a great budget Option, bevause this deck only runs you like 50 to 60 Dollar and can asamble its link 4, which prevents targeting and produces Token and their couter trap or the field which Turns all of your normal monsters into Towers, not to mention the tenyi monsters in grave giving you a great recortion for the following turns and even more protection. It also has a great matchup against eldlich i would say

Combine this with other staple competitive handtraps like Ash, almost essential stuff like Dark Ruler No More and other ED junk and you're looking at basically 380+ dollars, which, while not bad at all for basically a Tier 1 deck that doesn't need Halq, is by no means 'budget' if you want it to be competitive. Using the old True King combos are unreliable too, with Diagram and Litho both being at 1 and all.

I love how so many old decks are still viable and now affordable. Dino and Burning Abyss are practically ancient at this point, and Salamangreat and Sky Striker aren’t spring chickens either. And of all decks to survive from the pre-MR5 meta, I’m so glad it’s those. They’re some of the most “fair” decks of the era (no bullshit hand loops or FTKs or Mistake on legs or completely unbreakable boards) and they complement BA and Dino pretty well. Heck, they even offer four different aesthetics. And hey, I’m definitely happy that my favorite deck (Sky Striker) is still alive and kicking.

@king zaxa dolkka is literally mandatory in budget version. Its a dino right. For 2 copies its €50. Rex is €6. 3x structure decks €30. And 2 animadorned €100. This is all excluding shipping and without Extravagance. Unless you cut out animadorned its definetely budget. But otherwise its still above 200 with shipping.

Questions from someone who hasn't played Yugioh since 2008 (I left right at the start of the synchro era). Back when I played the decks I would always use were Six Samurai or some kind of fiend based deck. Two questions 1. I know Six Samurai aren't exactly "good" right now so I'm curious what's keeping them out of the meta. 2. To answer your questions: 1. I'm not a Six Samurai expert, but I think it's consistency that's the weak spot of that Deck 2. Try to pick up Unchained, that's pretty much the best Fiend archetype out there ATM

BA and Unchained is potential; BA is aging good still some person used it and topped with it There are other fiend decks like LOD trap control, Evil Eye, Dark World (that lately usually paired with Danger), Fabled (they have new support in OCG that makes it great recently but you should wait), Evil Twin (New in OCG), Knightmare Link (back then with Gouki engine) and Magical Musket (it can activate S/T from hand!)

These lists are really helpful, but as a tad bit of (hopefully helpful) criticism, i think you should take into consideration how likely a deck is to be hit. A budget deck like Dinosaur sounds great, but its already in the upper levels of what ur considering budget, and it has a major target on its back. Most budget players cannot afford to buy a 150$ deck every time the banlist rolls around, i just think thats something you should take into consideration when making these lists. :)

Striker ever since engage went to 0 continued to be a tier 2 deck at the absolute worse and not many times as a extremely solid rogue deck. It has it's best cards still on the banlist and is still in the meta, giving them their pot of greed on steroids back isn't a smart move, especially because we now have Kagari at 3. I love sky striker, it's by de far one of my favorite decks, but it was clear all along that such a op search card will end up on tree he banlist sooner or later and considering it is a search plus drawing a card and thus in it's archetype better than pot of greed I doubt we will see that card any time soon again.

@@shion126 Ironically it wasn't even banned because of the Pure version. 99 percent sure it was because it was being splashed. Incredibly powerful card, but much like Colossus and Stallio, they murdered off the three best cards of those decks just to push new product. It's their modus operandi. Engage coming back would just let pure do well in today's game but would not magically let them run the game again. Same with Colossus and Stallio. If anything it would be less splashable now because Trickstar got murdered and Orcust suck now without Harp Horror (the biggest offender when it came to Engage's splashability).

@@antonypistachio5476 oh for sure, sky striker was very easy to use in orcust as an engine and very decent at that, but in the end it is ever just a link 2 and that's it, not worth playing anymore as an engine in orcust, cause you know, a certain knightmare is banned. But saying it was mostly the reason engage got banned it just straight up false. Other than hornet drones and widow anchor there wasn't really any card you want to run with that engine. Yet Sky Striker had pretty much every single card in their deck at 1, and multi is certainly not a card you use in anything but sky striker. Sky striker was pretty much hit on every banlist but continued to be the overwhelming tier 1 deck, same for orcust before the murder banlist and same with salads. Those decks where by a longshot better than any other deck in their format, yes I do not count thunder dragon and I will get to that. They dominated as the big 3 decks that no other decks could hope to touch, and most didn't even have a chance to win against them. And all of those deck got consistency hits, here and their some good cardsmof them got hit, and literlly nothing changed within the meta, not jntil konami decided to put of all 3 decks the best cards on the banlist. And now to why thunder dragon was not a tier 1 and not one of the big 3. Thunder dragon had colossus, any other card was seriously underwhelming and easy to break and once that single card got Banned it went from the only tier 2 deck to under rogue status never to be seen again. Sky striker and salads however still continued to be very strong tier 2 decks and they did not leave tier 2 in any format ever since, sure not always the best and on very rare occasions they even wet down to rogue, but they never left the meta once after they lost all of their best cards on the banlist. Orcust didn't got killed beyond repair either, after all you can do what you did before just not that consistent anymore.

All of those decks where hyper consistent, and if you knew anything about the meta you would know that outside of orcust Pure Sky striker was litterly the only version with good success, sure Trickstar Sky striker was also running around with a little bit of success, but that was mainly before people figured out how Sky Striker is played. Tell me 1 deck besides orcust and Trickstar that actually had any good success in the meta with sky striker engines. Until then, I think you state a lot of bs.

I think crusadia is pretty budget all 5 crusadia monsters (maximus,leonis,reclusia,arboria,draco) are all less or equal to 1$ which is pretty amazing and equimax the deck’s finisher most likely us very cheap

Im more of a kozno fan the deck is fairly cheap but effective plus it has room for hand traps and because you dont need an extra deck super poly targets and cherry targets.

Orcust isn't too expensive right now either, priciest card is probably the draw spell, but if you decide to go with something like PK Orcust you can easily swap Orcustrated Return for Allure of Darkness

Also I wouldn't really recommend Allure if you're playing something like Machina Orcust, because you're probably going to be playing a lot less Dark monsters, whereas in PK Orcust you need Darks to go into Bardiche so you might be playing Dangers or other Dark extenders which would make you Allures live more often
