It could also be that they're just not expressive. In official concept designs, you can see Atypus (one of the new monsters, based on the... well... Atypus [Purse Spider]) practicing how to smile. I also think they're sentient because they drape themselves in clothing :/ Like in one of the sketches, Holeutea finds some cloth and drapes herself in it, but due to her hair it ends up getting torn to tatters. Also because (again in official design sketches), the artist notes that Cularia (another new card) cries when she feels lonely, which attracts others.

I've been running this deck for a year now since Lair of Darkness got it's consistency destroyed due to Mystic Mine getting Metaverse limited. It's a really fun deck and I've always liked monsters that have some kind of horror aesthetic (Archfiends, Lair of Darkness, Zombie World ect.). Traptrix monsters actually being killer plants, insects and arachnids in disguise is a fun concept for me and it evokes the fear of being eaten. Which is one of the primal fears we have as a species. It's also probably the most slept on rogue deck of the past year. It's downright scary to fight. Most control decks don't let you play at all. Traptrix gives the illusion of interactivity but in practice the more your opponent tries to struggle against it, the faster it kills them. Which also fits with the deck's theme and aesthetic. I plan on running this deck as long as possible.

Well that is until you overwhelm it with powerful monsters, I find them to be annoying, but I try to work around them and their bs.
@marcelmichels29252 жыл бұрын
@@gamedominatorxennongdm7956 I learned that lesson too. Decks with a ton of recursion like scrap, tearlaments, marincess(to an extend), etc..., Are really tuff to beat. Also, back row hate like lightning storm is a common Sidedeck choice, tho not as popular anymore, so Lord of the heavenly prison is kind of mandatory in your hand at then end of turn 1. That being said, it can still beat almost any other deck if piloted well and with some card luck and is fairly budget on top of just being insanely fun to play with. I'm sure it's annoying to play against but it's just to much fun to play and will always be my favorite.

@@simonrief1013 Yeah I'd say it's a good beginner deck. It has a pretty straightforward gameplan that can get more complex as you learn and build up the deck. I wouldn't agree that it's tier 1 like a lot of people say it is right now but after two weeks of playing it so far I feel comfortable saying that it got boosted to a solid tier 2 at the moment. It has a generally good MU against the tier 1 decks of the current format which is causing some people to think it's better than it is but you can definitely win with the deck and the learning curve at entry is comparatively simple to grasp.

I bought a Tin of the Pharaohs and a Dark Magician Girl mat, seeing as I needed one as mine from my Red-Eyes Burndown Deck Profile vid had gone missing, I actually got two cards, Traptrix Alomerus and Axe of Despair! I pulled a Nibiru, so bought some more tins, pulling a couple Albion the Branded Dragon, several Beetrooper, Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit, Ghost Mourner & Moonlit Child, a few Live Twins, Forbidden Droplets and Lightning Storm! No sign of what I was really after, though, Destroy Phoenix Enforcer... though I can think of a couple of uses for some of my other pulls, so it's not all bad!

I still love this archetype because it causes me to play differently then I normally do. Also it's fun to see their every opposition negated

Plants creep me out. Even pretty flowers will make me jump if I brush against one. But the one thing that is worse to me is a shower head or any jet of water higher than me suddenly turning on idk why lol

They remind me a lot of Made in Abyss, with the fact that they use hole cards (the abyss) and with how they are drawn.

I enjoy the kinds of plants the plant ones are based on. Fun fact the pokemon vileploom (I cant spell) is based off the corpse flower also, if that wasnt already obvious

We have pitcher plants at home once. We used to have a huge fly and mosquito problem so we had pitcher plants. They died though because there was no more prey to eat. Yes. We don't have anymore flies to bother us anymore. 😁

@@roninwarriorsfan pitcher plants are native here in the Philippines. I don't know if we could have been able to raise fly traps let alone get some. But, if I could I would love to have that weird pancake plant that flies get trapped on their sticky leaves. They're cute and weird

On the official(?) Lore, the girls are just apparitions or illusions, the real trap trick monsters are the giant carnivorous plant or insect that made these apparitions.
