I LOVE how this track brings up many of the other songs/themes' motifs into it... even though it is not the same world you know, the music ensures that you never lose a sense of familiarity. You've been going through the routes with those melodies, but they're not foreign. (And I love the visualization, by the way! Please do more of them!)

The YM2608 Is Almost the Same as YM2612+SN76489 PSG (Without Noise)

The SSG channels on the YM2608 are actually interchangeable between square channels and noise channels, so in a way it's better than the SN76489.
