I'm not a huge fan when they mess with the base formula too much, makes it really hard for new players and growing the player base. I'll try it, but it doesn't look that great to me for now.

It's a game developed to attend the casual players that loved the weird series, Forbidden Memories, Duelist of the Roses, Falsebound Kingdom, they were really fun and gave a breath of fresh air to people who loved the series as a whole. If you want to play a more boots on the ground, there's Master Duel or if you just wanna stick to the original but isn't a try hard, there's Duel Links. Konami is making a wonderful job but letting people choose what appeals to them

Yeah, Cross Duels has completely different rules than the TCG/OCG and Speed Duels. It’s a nice change of pace because it actually incentivizes strategy rather than slapping down a couple boss monsters and winning the game in one turn.

@@Astro986 Using everything for spamming boss monsters isn't enough, it's fairly easy now to remove them, unless you're playing with noobs. Playing combo and control tought me a lot lol. Master Duel has more strategy than this inherently.

But due to the fast pacing of that format, it’s easy to think that it doesn’t, especially when people run the same cards regardless of the deck, like Ash Blossom, Impermanence, etc. This is my personal opinion btw.

Nope. But the mechanic of this game lets you summon multiple monsters, which can then be sacrificed to summon a high level monster. It’s a little like Rush Duels

My main question, as with any mobile game, is how do they plan on getting their money? If it's just in the form of card packs that'd be fine, so long as the odds of getting the rarer cards aren't too low.

I guess I should have been a bit more specific, like let's say 20 gems is the cost of a standard card pack, how much is that 20 gems worth in relation a real life card pack, and will it take 50 draws on average to get an ultra rare, or 100 draws.

Sorry I didn’t see this earlier. The gacha you see in my videos is just for the beta, so don’t rely on that too much. But I wager the rates will be similar with each UR monster having its own banner. It’s either that, or you can choose which monster to increase the pull rate. But that may be some copium lol.

@@yama83769 That's what I'm thinking. Duel Links at least from what little I actually spent real money on, seemed to line up decently well with what a booster pack in real life would go for. Not only that, but it's quite possible that if Konami did try jacking up the price it'd only serve to have people remain on Duel Links instead of coming over to Cross Duel.
