YuGiOh! Fixing dents and creases

I’m happy to report that Yu-Gi-Oh cards with dents and light creases can be returned to original condition. This card took three days. Spray the drying pads once or twice a day with a light mist of card spray and let it sit.
I’m sure if I kept going I could get the final little bit out of it, but I wanted to share with you because it works! Thank you to my Yu-Gi-Oh collectors for your patience. I hope this method is a big help. Send me some before and after pictures, I would love to see your projects 🤘🏼

A friend bought your kit and he's been helping me with my Yu-Gi-Oh cards with great results. Fun fact: I had a card with some dents like this one. He put it in the humidifier and accidentally left the card there for over FOUR hours, then let it dry inside the acrylic discs, all dents were gone and the card was flawless, so we discovered Yu-Gi-Oh cards can handle a lot of moisture. It came back as a 10.

@@garydagat feel free to pick up the ball and run with it. It's not something I'm gonna be able to do in the next couple days. But you can always try stuff like this on base cards. If they're built similarly to Pokémon or Yu-Gi-Oh there's a good chance it's gonna work

You think this would work well on some Pokemon cards I have? I have a handful of some rare 90s cards but they have some small creases in them. Trying to improve them to see if I can get more value for them

I can’t get creases to go away very much. Stuff like dents and light ceases I can do with this technique.

Will this method work on a Kaboom Soccer card? I have a Kaboom with a shallow perfectly horizontal indent on the FRONT of the card. Probably 0.75 inches long.

Unfortunately, I don’t think so. The materials are different with Kaboom. it would be possible if it was on the back, but the front is pure foil and plastic

What situation calls for the use of the humidifier/humidor?

I use it often for drying cards that I soak because it dries them really slowly. Also thick cards such as patch, autographs, and certain sports cards. You cannot use much moisture with so I’ll use the humidor. It’s also helpful to use humidity to help help a card get back to its original shape if it’s a little wonky.

@@kurtscardcare I’ve seen videos where people use the humidifier to moisten the cards then use the clamps to bring them “to original form”. Would you recommend doing that or doing what you’re doing with the sprays?

@@Isaackimchi101 either way works, but I found this way to be much more effective with dents
