Yoyoka is truly a special person and what makes her strong is that she embodies the music itself with a lot of passion and humility. When she plays, you never see any unnecessary gestures, twirling of her sticks or antics, she simply interprets the piece of music with sincerity and a lot of love.

She does hit very hard - Ian Paice says she hits harder than he does! - but see how easily she does it. She sits straight up and very relaxed at her kit, and reaches with her arms instead of leaning this way and that. And with a smooth motion and a little flick of the wrist, WHAM! she lets the sticks do the work.
