The guy going crazy .. this is his song. They have seven Dutch singers and each week the other six singers sing either a song on his/her or a song that they like a lot. This was the third week I think .. this week it was Floor's turn and they sang to her. The show is on Dutch television .. BesteZangers .. Best Singers

There are currently two other songs by her on this show, 'Mama' in dutch, and Vilja Lied (Vilja song) an opera piece in German :) . The concept of the show is get 7 very different but very good singers together on a holiday resort each episode one of the singers will be sitting in the central chair and be sung to by the others. They have chosen either a song of the artist in the chair and make their own version, or they do a song that has a lot of meaning to the artist in the chair. Most people are singing completely out of their comfort zone (In fact this song was the one Floor said she struggled with most because of the so extremely different style of music) It's not a competition. Last week was floor's episode, and several of the songs sung to her are well worth the watch. In fact if you want the whole show, another youtuber Denise Hofs has been putting out whole episodes with english subtitles. worth the watch :) Either way 4 more episodes to go (the shows airs here in the Netherlands on saturday) so at least four more Floor songs including one duet in the coming month This was a song by the Rolf Sanchez (the very excited guy on the bench) a dutch/dominican Salsa/reaggeaton/latin singer who is big in the Latin charts in the US. This was one of his own songs, Floor changed the arrangement completely and came out with this gorgeous bit of music, and it was no wonder he was going nuts :)

The guy is Rolf Sanchez, The original singer. This is a program in Holland Where 7 singers come together and sing the sing from the one in the spotlight, or songs that means a lot to them. Last saturday Floor was in the hotspot. But first listen to Mama and Vilja Lied, both from Floor and from the same show (beste zangers)

You have to understand the show, every week all the singers feature songs either from the artist in the honor chair, or songs that are meaningful to that artist. Divine, that is how I describe Floor's vocals, one of a kind for sure! Great reaction, just need to find a better thesaurus! LOL \m/

While It feels that Floor is a Nightwish part. Just shows how she can stun others. I'm pretty sure by now (since this isn't my first time listening to to this), that the guy is Rolf, and the original singer of the Salsa song. So he got Floored. Not to blame, we've all expercienced it...

Floor has a very large discography before adding Nightwish. Her other bands: "After Forever" and "ReVamp" Bands in which she is a integral member: "Northward" and "Star One" Special projects where Floor is the featured artist: "Big Band Boesten with Floor Jansen" and "Red Limo String Quartet with Floor Jansen" Then there are her appearances with other projects, the biggest of which is "Ayreon" in multiple albums, plus guest appearances on single songs for other artists all over the place. Also, multiple metal Christmas shows, such as "Christmas Metal Symphony" and "Raskasta Joulua". I am sure other people can add a bunch of projects I am forgetting. Floor is a WORKER, man!

She was way out of her comfort zone with this song. It's in Spanish (she doesn't speak Spanish), it was originally a Latin Salsa song (written and sung by the guy on the sofa that is obviously loving her version) This was for Nightwish's legion of fans in Latin America as well as for the guy who originally performed the song. And she knocked it out of the park... as usual. The other two songs she has done on this show are exceptional as well. German opera and Dutch soulful song. It's a great show, I'm watching the full episodes (translated by a nightwish fan) and I highly recommend you check them out.

yes the song is from the guy in the black and white shirt on the sofa but he sings it in latin style ( he Always sings in spanisch he is from the dominican republic but he came to the Netherlands with his parents wen he was young ) he lives half the year in Amerika and the other half of the year in the Netherlands

The Salsa singer, Rolf just saw his hit song get the Floor treatment in Spanish no less (learned it phonetically in a week) for him and all her Spanish fans who are crazy for her. She did a operatic aria in German the 1st week to the opera singer (song his mother sang to him as a child) (kzbin.info/www/bejne/opSveGiOZs5lh68) and the 2nd week she did a Folk/Pop song in Dutch for the singer who wrote it for her mother (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZuUmpWQp8-EitU) . So we have 3 different genres sung in 3 different languages by her, check them out all without Nightwish. Great reaction and this song is actually get air time in South America they love it that much!!

If you want music she plays with on her free from Nightwish? Try Northward, some coops with Ayreon and sometimes with Sabaton. Northward is her own hard rock project and the released an album 1 year ago. Ayreon is a dutch prog metal project from Arjen Lucassen, some great stuff who works with a lot of great artists. Floor is one of the regular appearing artists. Sabaton is the band of her husband, sometimes she does some backing vocals for them. Of course you can check out her older work with her previous bands After Forever and ReVamp, where she also wrote a lot of the songs for.
