The reason why greens take so long to cook is because if you are old school, you will buy your greens in a bunch, which means you have to pick them off the stem. Check them for worms, then cut them up to your liking then you take them and you wash them 3 to 4 times, and while you doing all of that whatever type of meat you use to season your greens should be boiling and by the time you are done preparing your greens you would then add them to the pot with your meat . Now that’s the process of preparing and cooking your greens. To me buying pre-cut greens means you have to pick out all of the unnecessary stems and that’s the part I don’t like.

I buy my greens and actually fold them with the stem and cut them soak them after they're cut in water and vinegar for 20 mins. Then rinse them and cook themi actually eat the stem doesn't bother me at all.
