So this solved the problem? Great! If it continues, I encourage you to go to yuneecpilots.com and talk to the guys there. A lot of them are very knowledgeable about the mechanics of the H.

Thanks so much. Took it out on its first flight and calibration out in the open. Everything worked fine. Until I went to raise the landing gear. That's when I found this video. And also watched your video on flying for the first time. I have a lot to learn. 3 day nobie here. Lol. Thanks again.

Thanks so much. After changing the GPS and compass board, refreshing the firmware I could not get the landing gear to move properly. Your video explained it well and fixed my issue and reset the gears.

Great tip Jeff! after replacing the landing gear servo on one side of my typhoon H i noticed that it retracted slightly slower than the other side,i will be trying this out later today hopefully this will cure the problem!..Very nicely explained as well Jeff Thank you :)

Thanks! I hope it works for you. The landing gear are a bit unreliable with the H, but I think this technique might make them more functional for me at least. I stopped retracting them because they were inconsistent; now I'm going to start using that feature again.

dude you rock!! i busted my landing retractor gears on a landing messing with the red button this video saved me from having to call yuneec. simple calibration step. ... being brave and seeing what happens.. wont do that again.. also had to replace an arm hook/clip. typhoons teardown isnt too bad.. TOOLS are a long 1.5 and 2mm hex incase anyone needs to know. Question thou.. whats the internal micro sd slot under the hood of the drone itsself? THANKS for all the great videos clear video audio straight to the point etc.

Glad the video helped! I don't know what the internal slot would be for though - my guess is that it would be there for the people who are servicing the drone to use.

Being able to retract the Typhoon H landing gear is one of the features that makes this Yuneec drone so unique. Unfortunately, sometimes the landing gear will get stuck and one or both sides may fail to go up or down. Before you send your Typhoon H to Yuneec Customer Service for repairs, see if the simple process I demonstrate in this video won’t fix your problem.

My Typhoon H is less than a day old and the landing gear has a lot more play in them, If they get any looser the gimbal might touch the ground. Everyone says how strong the legs are and ive only made pretty smooth landings. Is this OK? Maybe just a little initial "settling in"?

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that! If you have to replace the camera, it would be worth the money to get the CGO3 rather than the CGO2. CGO3 is a much better camera and gives you a lot more control over your images.

hello I just bought a typhoon h real sense. i have not flown it yet, i saw your video and wanted to test my landing gear...but notice only one side works the other does not...any idea?

Try the cycling procedure I describe in this video a couple times. If that doesn't work, call Yuneec customer service. Let them talk you through whatever processes they have.
