First, thanks for listening to my comment. Great review as usual. Having owned and used the Typhoon H for 3 months now I feel that I have a decent grasp on this product. Its great in NEARLY every way. There are only two downsides to the H that I can report. One is its size, its huge. Bigger than a Phantom by quite a bit, making it less than ideal for transport. Second is range. I'm getting a little over a mile range with mine, stock. For $150 I can get antennas that double that but its still not the range I would like. Other than that, the H is amazing. The only problem I have had was one of the red LED's on the arms died. Called customer support (IN AMERICA!!!!!!) and they overnight-ed a replacement for free. And the guy on the line was extremely professional and polite. Great Product with Great Support. A+++

FYI : The H will do nearly 60 mph with the GPS turned off, just in altitude hold. When you are in follow me and you run towards the H, the camera will stay on you and the bird will rotate around so the OA sensors face in the direction the H is moving. The H OA system makes 3D map of what is in its flight path an intelligently plots the best course around obstacles, unlike the P4 that just stops and climbs to fly over trees not around them. Good video! ;-)

What's amazing to me is how people are so hung up on specs. You can have the best specs in the world and not know how to use those specs appropriately and it will still be crap. Folks should be more concerned about what will work for them in their particular situation. In my opinion, this overview simply introduces you to the Typhoon H (Pro actually since it had RealSense OA), and shows you a few of it's key features. They aren't urging you to go out and buy it over another platform. They are just showing you their experience with it and how it can be used. I for one appreciate the overview approach. They leave it to me to drill down on the details if I have any interest in the Typhoon H.

I just bought this drone.. Flew for few minutes.. But the screen resolution is not good at all unless of you transfer the files to phone or pc..is there a setting for that? And also it does say on gallery option to turn Bluetooth on but it doesnt actually work to transfer the files to phone.. Any tips? Please reply before i think of returning the drone because of that reason

This video made me dig into all the info there is on this awesome platform. At first I had my mind set on buying a Mavic but I've never been fond of DJI and the mavic seemed a little toy-ish having to use your phone, so I was still not sure. After 2 weeks of diggin I decided the Typhoon was the thing for me and found one second hand for only 800 bucks including the wizard and 2 batteries. The logs said it flew only 3 times. I gotta say this thing changed my flying experience tremendously. I'm soooo glad I didn't go for the mavic. This thing has so much more funtionality. Maybe the range could be better but thats definately gonna improve when I add different antennas. Overall I was amazed by what this baby can do.

yep after owning 3 DJI birds I wanted something a little different and took a chance on the Typhoon H Pro back in August and I haven't regretted it once. I love the Typhoon H and after adding the DBS Intellite Antenna kit the range has been excellent.

Mike b Sure the mavic has more range. But I'm not interested in longer range. I hardly fly beyond line of sight so I don't need that. I much rather have a super stable platform with a full 360 pan 4k camera. And a big Monitor to actually see what I'm shooting. The mavic just wasn't up to those tasks so I opted for the Typhoon H. Also the price I paid was much better since I got it second hand for 800 bucks. No DJI product can beat that in my opinion.

Hey Idahodeerhunter! As far as comparisons go... It is very similar in almost every way to the phantom 4. Durability(bc it is a GPS style drone) is sometimes irrelevant. But I do hear that they have a pretty good customer service department it anything does get jacked up. The range is about a mile, comfortably speaking, and the camera is very similar as well. The thing that typhoon has over the phantom is essentially the 360 axis gimbal! Phantom has a larger range and probably a tad bit better camera quality, but not the 360 option. Also, it does not lack in power, but the battery life is a bit awkward...at about 10-15 minutes max. A lot of other cool features, but those are just a few comparison etc. Hope this helps! You guys showed show stuff but didn't really get into the specs of the thing, the quality, flight characteristics, etc. I still don't know anything about it except that it looks pretty cool and has nifty fold up landing gear. Some more things missing are things like how ergonomic is the controller? How good is the software? How does it compare to other copters in the same price ranges? What is the price range?

Just watch other videos (Toms Tech Time for example). All of them will tell you that the Phantom 4 is better in every point, this is why they don't show the specs, I mean when the Yuneec-guy is standing next to them.

Loved the review! Guys I think there's a problem in the audio of this file. At around 4.40 there's some distrortion that could be caused be either low bitrate or bad compression from youtube. (or my speakers are broken). Also Hate what youtube is doing to aid streaming... so many artifacts ruining the quality of your videos. Ps Im not complaining, im something like your care bear!! Here is a little question about the company Yuneec themselves... I was wondering if Yuneec was owned by Horizon hobby? The Typhoon Q500 is very similar to the Blade Chroma and even has the same CGO3 gimbal. I also see Yuneec products listed on HH's website, so are they part of the HH family, or are they just in close collaboration with HH?

yuneec built the chroma for horizon.they did horizon a solid building the chroma for them. i own both yuneec and horizon. so it was just a close collaboration.

Thank you for the review, but for better shots with typhoon h you should use nd filters and manual camera settings. Its a great machine and i love mine. Shoots great videos if you just get a little more into it. also i like its six motor redundancy and the fact you can operate it with 2 controllers for more dynamic shots.

Ok, it seems cool, but! The primary job of the platform is to get the shot. So, what does it offer for, camera options, I wanna a 50mm or a 35mm lens, or I'm shooting anamorphic, does it have gimbal options or camera options you can switch out, as of now I'm shopping for a S 1000 platform if I can find a gimbal for my GH 6 camera. I'm not interested in obstacle avoiding, just a two operator tool to get a shot. Without having to spend thousands of dollars to get into A freefly. A 1200 to 2000 dollar Drone simple platform and gimbal throw your own camera on and go. That's what I'm looking for.
