This song hits me hard. I know everyone is talking bout their crush. I dont have a crush on anyone but what I can relate to is when he said: "Only thing that I knew love could lead me to was protecting my sisters from all of the cuts and blood that my mum and my dad would always take out on each other". I grew up hearing my mom and his boyfriend shouting to each other. They've been together for almost ten years now and its always the same. This song is incredibly beautiful to me. And the line about only really knowing a positive love as the love with his siblings hits hard. I feel it's so often undervalued how for some people that relationship can be one of the truest strongest loves you will ever experience. I love how it combines a mix of family and romantic and self love to speak to love as a whole as a multidimentional force and the Sweetheart line just makes my heart melt. It's one of the most romantic statements in a really understated way. I love this song so much.
