Fantasy Medieval RPG in which magic was nerfed so hard that everybody use only conventional weaponary. Name video about it "Sword Dude" That's literally the most not clickbait video title that I've ever seen. Great vid tho.

Magic in souls games is traditionally overpowered in pve but hard to use consistently in pvp. I wouldn't say magic is that bad for that reason, and magic is actually quite viable in pvp in dark souls 2 and demon souls (technically in bloodborne too but nobody really plays the pvp in that game if it isn't pubstomping with rank 19 blood gems). With that being said, magic can be situationally viable in dark souls 1 and 3 as well, as magic had extremely high 1-shot potential in dark souls 1 and spells like great soul dreg (the giant orb), lightning arrow, and most pyromancies with the flame scar (the curved sword that casts pyromancies) are very effective outside of 1v1's and is one of the easiest ways to demolish distracted groups of players outside of the rkpgs's.

Still, compared to dark souls 2, where you could make a deadly faith build with emit force and lighting, or pyromancy with wide variety of combos. Dark souls 3 just doesn't allow for that freedom, which you can see on PvP when it's rare to find a caster compared to greatswords users etc. Not going to even mention what ds3 did to black magic, while in ds2 and ds1 it was even too strong. Make a valid dark magic build in ds3 and win against someone on your skill level. It's quite a challenge.

Ogryska Well i can agree to a certain extent that dark magic is in a bad state, but i think that you can still make a pretty fucking powerful spell caster, pyromancy is at its most powerful in ds3, so many great spells, sorcery is at a good state aswell after both dlcs, you have crystal soul spear, great heavy soul arrow, old moonlight, great soul dreg, homing crystal soul mass, farron flash sword, and many other sorceries that are just amazing, even faith that even though has become a meme is pretty powerful actually, sunlight spear, lighting arrow, lightning stake and lightning storm are all pretty damn good miracles and make for a pretty strong faith build, my guess on why spell builds are so scarce on pvp nowadays would actually be that its a play style most people don't enjoy, as it requires more care and thoughtful strategy and most ds players never had that honestly :p

Pre-Watch: I'm so excited for this, all the others were so fucking good with on point fashion souls, amazing combat clips, and orgasmic music selections, that this, what I'm assuming to be the best of them with the naturally aesthetic nature of the weapons in the thumbnail, is very unlikely to let me down, given how the author has proven himself consistent in his quality of production. Post-Watch: The author makes stupendous use of funny imagery, sounds, sudden reactions (Ex. angry, exaggerated fist slams) and "dead" memes (Ex. Ugandan Knuckles "Way" from VRchat being portrayed as skeletons running off a cliff, not sure if the author intended this but they may be symbolic of the tribe's being composed of lemmings, following their leader Gaztons off a cliff as he claims to know the "way", also being hollow like skeletons, blindly following the necromancy that is KZbin meme-life extension). The music enraptured me, and the combat sequences seem to be timed along to them. The featured player has a superb sense of fashion souls, as well as a more in-depth knowledge of the featured weapons than most KZbinrs I've seen (ex. I wasn't even sure that the RKPUG had that fiery stab move, and the use of backsteps just makes the combos flow smoother than semen). What sort of caught me off guard was the evidence of modding, or at least moveset swapping (Ex. Intro), very nice touch, though I think these "epic moments of preparation" may work better with some nice backstory, like a quest to destroy all anime, or something. The aesthetic effect given to some scenes seems to me to be what really sets these videos apart, making them generally more colorful and appealing. When you mix this with your use of the game's natural scenery (Ex. 4:05), it makes for a movie-quality shot. Again, I have to note and wonder just how you got all these unlikely and beautiful shots. Just how much gameplay can one Maestro record?

bro i went back and forth between this video and Roller Mobster(1st song) and for some reason, the music was more intense and fun to listen to, with just the sound of fighting and itmes around the players like box's breaking made it even better. I don't know why.
