I am 43 and I heard this song for the first time today. Strange that Ive never heard it on the radio, but I'm glad that I heard it today, as it makes me thank god for my beautiful wife, and the love I have for her. Absolutely beautiful song.

You're a little young to have heard on the radio. This was current in the early 70s.

Better late, than never. Check out his album “Tea for ,the Tillerman”. As a young woman, I wore this record out. At 71 yo, I listen to Yusuf & my youth flashes through my mind.

Who is there listening to this beauty even in 2021.? Although it's a sad song but still I am in love with this song.. It reminds of a love I still thinking of even after 50 years, he is still in my heart & thoughts everyday.. I wished I could tell him how much I loved him. Cat Stevens has been always one of my favorite Singer. Nr. one: My Lady D'Arbanville, Nr. two : Bitter Sweet, Nr. three: Oh, Very Young, and not forget this altimated love song. It still gives me goosebumps. Love from the Netherlands.

I know a lot of married people hold this song sacred to their relationship but for me this song is sung by someone to a deeply loved person who can never actually be had but remains impossible to ever be attained. The feeling to me is almost religious, like approaching to God impossibly.

Songs like "How can I tell you" were my only companion in the 70s as an adolescent girl who was very unhappy. I have no words to describe how your music was my only solace during those days. I don't know if you will ever personally see these words but I truly hope you do so you understand what impact your music had on most of us at that time

as an adolescent girl discovering his music now I am just in awe... songs like this one, Don't Be Shy, Sitting, King of Trees (I could just list every song of his from here honestly..), they strike something deep within me. I wish more people my age were exposed to these gems

How can I tell you That I love you I love you But I can't think of right words to say I long to tell you That I'm always thinking of you I'm always thinking of you But my words just blow away Just blow away It always ends up to one thing, honey And I can't think of right words to say Wherever I am girl I'm always walking with you I'm always walking with you But I look and you're not there Whoever I'm with I'm always, always talking to you I'm always talking to you And I'm sad that you can't hear Sad that you can't hear It always ends up to one thing, honey When I look and you're not there I need to know you Need to feel my arms around you Feel my arms around you Like a sea around a shore Each night and day I pray In hope that I might find you In hope that I might find you Because heart's can do no more Can do no more It always ends up to one thing, honey Still I kneel upon the floor How can I tell you That I love you I love you But I can't think of right words to say I long to tell you That I'm always thinking of you I'm always thinking of you It always ends up to one thing, honey And I can't think of right words to say
