Alhamdoulilah he reverted, but music is not permissible to listen to let alone produce as it was the cause of the first major sin committed in a large gathering, Zina gathered around music. Many Muslims are sympathetic to music especially religious/peace inciting tunes. But I can’t just follow my nafs and disregard our prophets words and Allah’s prohibition in favor of my own pleasure. Don’t forget that peeps. Much love.

@@medowatcher I have been told that there is disagreement amongst scholars as to what is haram and halal regarding music. That one can listen to a symphony but not heavy metal or vulgar rap songs. We all do the best we can. If Allah forbade all music then why create it?
@medowatcher4 жыл бұрын
@@katstephens6571 There is no disagreement at all between any major established scholars actually. Not sure where you heard that. The hadith is quite clear, The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Among my ummah there will be people who will regard as permissible adultery, silk, alcohol and musical instruments.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (5590). See also: al-Silsilah al-Saheehah by al-Albaani (91). As to your last question the answer is simpler than you think, to test you/us. I grew up listening to Cat back in the 1970's he was awesome and still is in 2021. When dog was a donut is my favorite cat Stevens song. No disrespect to Islam, he is still cat Stevens to me.
