Cat Stevens' Majikat - Earth Tour was recorded during his last legendary North American tour in 1976. It was an ambitious production involving live magicians, synchronized film projection and large innovative stage set. I saw him live while stationed at Pearl Harbor, and we ended up on stage with him at the end. Now, at the age of 67, it still was by far the most incredible concert I had ever been too. What a amazing musician.

Lucky to have been born in 1960. Cat Stevens music was HUGE when I was 12 years old. We sang his music in choir. We all had his albums. I'm a life long fan. Powerful lyrics, great voice, great music! Cat Stevens is a truly great human and musician. Greats like Neil young, Paul Simon, Eddie vedder, Tom Petty and Johnny Cash, are timeless and RELATABLE. I love real music. Thank you Cat Stevens!

I was 26 yesterday and i grew up listening to him and many others like him and some you mentioned with my dad and i do not regret it one bit. I have a vast music taste, going from folk all the way through to metal etc. but i am not embarrassed to say i like good music. No one ever should be. I saw him at the Forum in Los Angeles during this very tour, including one night sitting in the front row just a few feet away. To say it was a magical night would be an understatement. I was (and am) a massive fan. It was an extraordinary experience that I have never forgotten. My friend and I had the chance to get front row seats. It seemed so sketchy, having to pick them up from some unknown guy in an industrial park. We thought it likely we would die. But for Cat it just seemed worth it. It turned out fine. The guy was a straight shooter who simply couldn't go. We paid $50 each for front row. That certainly tells you it was a different time. And even though we were poor high school kids, I consider it some of the best money ever spent. I'm so glad this great singer is still around bringing joy.

Saw the Navicat tour in 10th grade....now I'm 61...how did that happen? He sang this song last and I remember everyone stood and he played it a 2nd time and we all sang. One of the best experiences of my life. His songs were of hope and peacefulness. They actually encouraged us to be peaceABLE, not just peaceFUL. Totally different. So glad you are sharing your music once again. That you have a wonderful family. After your relationship with God they are your most precious jewels. Your music is diamonds.

Tea for the Tillerman was just released and I heard "Wild World" on the radio, Me and a friend went to the store and got the album I took it home and put it on. Every song just blew me away. I don't think I have ever again felt the way I felt the first time I heard "Tea for the Tillerman." I'm a huge Beatles fan and it was always a big deal when a new album was released. I think because Cat Stevens kind of appeared out of nowhere. But I still remember the feeling I had the first time I heard the record.

He had to get away because he was having an emotional breakdown because he was famous and rich and using drugs and drinking and he was not happy. He was living a decadent Western lifestyle which has destroyed many a Rock Star before him. It actually saved his life to stop and get away. Now he’s back finally. Good for him. He survived.
