Something really iffy about copying is Sukuna has this ability as well, not sure if we can say it's implied it's pure skill for him or not, so when we talk about Yuta who also can copy stuff i got to wonder, is his capacity greater or lesser for being a straightforward CT? if it's greater he should be able to do the dimension slash, which ofc we know he can't because he would've started off with that or just used it earlier, would also been smarter reveal to sukuna he can copy his skills starting with that, doing so with the more regular stuff is a mere warning

The katana breaks after each use, he doesn’t know which power each has as it resets completely each time one breaks (think LT Surge from Pokémon yellow. There’s always two switches but you gotta figure out which two cans have it) He goes around this problem when he finds the clairvoyance sword and can decide which sword is what he wants. He’s used ice breaker twice now and he knew the last sword of the chapter was in fact the *spoiler* l

I think what’s gonna happen is Yuta is going to try to get cleave again, except Sukuna will counter with the same attack except maybe since Sukuna has mastered CE he can manipulate his dismantles into the hand like chainsaws and maybe even cause friction to create heat and a “fire arrow.” So maybe Sukuna will beat Yuta with a technique he can’t copy like his fire technique since it’s not just a technique but a mastery of the use of a technique

The main theory for Yuta's Copy condition is that Rika has to eat a part of the original users body ( this is what Ryu theorizes after Rika eats the sky girls arm and Yuta then uses Sky manipulation). There were theories that when Yuta first arrived, Rika offscreen found and ate the hand that Sukuna cut off himself to avoid the Executioners Blade. This seems like the most plausible thing rn.

Chapter 250: "Artificial Destiny and Role". The chapter starts with Sukuna getting hit by Itadori. He blocks it with one of his arms and grunts; though it doesn't push him back, he tries to fling dismantle but gets countered by Yuta using curled speech. "Don't move!" The panel shows a sketchy outline of Megumi's soul inside of him, almost being dragged away by the blow. Sukuna comments internally: 'Ah, there it is. I feel the outline of my soul wavering. But Megumi Fushiguro is like a steel anchor inside me. He won't be doing any moving; he has to be forcefully torn out." He smiles, seeing Yuta Okkotsu about to strike. "Kenjaku was a fool... He spoke lightly of you! You killed him, didn't you?! You're pretty good, huh!?" Laughing, both Yuji and Yuta look shocked. "Domain Expansio--" Suddenly, Yuta blasts him with a granite blast, causing him to be blown towards the wall of his domain. Sukuna tries once more, this time with both of his mouths. Itadori kicks Sukuna in the face, and Rika follows up to punch his gut. Sukuna winces slightly as once again the outline of Megumi's soul is shown, and his lower mouth coughs up blood. Sukuna brushes himself off the rubble as Yuji and Yuta stand ready to follow up. Sukuna thinks, "There. That confirms it. He really can only use the sure-hit effect of a technique he's copied once. As soon as I stopped using the Hollow Wicker Basket, he would've hit me with Jacob's Ladder over and over again until I was exorcised. He's saving it for the right moment."Touching his bleeding face, he thinks to himself: "More importantly, I can't use my domain expansion quite yet. My brain is still recovering, and my reverse-cursed technique is lagging behind. But I can taste it's return... And then..." The paneling shows him dodging a few more attacks, parrying Yuji while he is relentlessly on top of him. "It'll be over, huh? Am I hoping for too little from these two? Look at their fierce faces. All of this is about love, and my heart still remains unmoved as ever." Shrugging, he throws a 'world-cutting' slash just as Yuta is using a technique, and Rika tries to block it, but instead her arm gets cut off and Yuta's as well, the katana he's holding and his hand piercing the ground once more. Suddenly, a large crack forms in Yuta's barrier. "Okkotsu-senpai!" Yuji yells as Sukuna goes to finish him off. Yuta is trying to expand his barrier in the meantime. "There's no rhyme or reason to it. I simply triumphed. Another one to die, huh, brat? What an appetizing experience, though." Yuta looks like he's throwing a punch at Sukuna's hand, and Sukuna easily parries it with his palm. But it was actually a clap! Suddenly Itadori switches places via a copied Boogie Woogie, and with his arm sharpened with bloody claws like Choso, he yells 'Black Flash!" and pierces through Sukuna's stomach, mouth, and out of his back. Sukuna breaks the claws by pushing Itadori back with those little slashes he showed before. Sukuna coughs up blood, and he goes to chop with his lower arms that were using the hollow wicker basket towards Yuji, but suddenly, "Maximum Output! Jacob's Ladder!" A pillar of blinding light pierces through Sukuna. Sukuna's eyes go white for a moment, and smoke is pouring off of him as if he were on fire. "Black Flash!" He's been punched in the chin. -- "Guh! My body... My soul... Haha... Interesting...!" "Black Flash!" Itadori uses piercing blood, which is shot through a hand that tries to deflect it into his shoulder. Yuji breaks Sukuna's lower arms, despite it cutting his fists. "Black Flash!" He kicks him in the knee so that he drops to one knee. "Black Flash!" The narration reads: "In Shinjuku, the light of a red-hot star is being born. Bit by bit, this so-called 'human' is shaping his own destiny. No matter how fake he or his kin might be... The world sings through him in a brilliant, nascent light! The man chosen by the sparks of black!" Breaking the black flash record, Itadori punches Sukuna in his stomach mouth once more, so hard that Megumi's Fushiguro's soul is completely knocked out of him! Yuji looks shocked and yells out for him! However, Sukuna crumples against a pillar, clutches his wound, and shakily gets onto his feet. "Hm, fine. If it all comes to an end soon or merges or whatever, I might as well enjoy humanity until it's last bite." "Oven: Open." Editor Comment: "The King of Curses prepares his final feast!" Break next week!

Regardless of what sword/CT he uses, don't they all have a sure hit effect? Or did I misread/understood? Regrading infinite katana's, I read it as he can use the same CT but would have to pick up a specific sword imbued with that CT?

It should have the sure-hit effect but I'm assuming that since Sukuna is using Hollow Wicker it's not sure-hit for the time being

​@@SyvRetcon no, when activating his domain yuta chooses one of his techniques (here he chose angel's technique) and puts it as the sure hit effect just like it would with mahito or gojo's domains (which is why sukuna is forced to keep two hands together to keep wicker hollow basket) the other copied techniques are in the katanas but the katanas don't have any sure hit effect, its just that sukuna's defense is limited making it easier to hit him
