I have a theory. What if this is training camp? There's no way this isn't like a bravery test or something. Sleeping in late was definitely Midnight's quirk trying to disorient us. It's possible that the noise in the basement from last episode was one of the teachers trying to scare us, or someone like Present Mic tripped. As a twist, I'm gonna guess that monster from Kaminari's story took the body of a deer, and the teachers aren't gonna know until we all have to fight it and someone almost dies, but turns out it was a villain prank.
