+QueenSerperior The only time I ever used any of the seeds besides Tiny Reviver, were the Blast Seeds against Dark Matter in phase 2. Lmao. Oblivion Wing was annoying, so I just kept alliance attacking Yveltal then I took care of Nuzleaf & the others.

This theme is just outright menacing, you're fighting the right hand man of a world destroying entity who's already caused so much destruction, along him are fellow agents of such evil...one of them being the one who acted as your father for a long time who was just using you as a tool. the tree of life is going to be out of reach very soon and you're being held back by the embodiment of death itself, who will happily slaughter you and the many friends you have made in the name of his master. that triumphant part of the theme that is just followed by that despair filled tune just screams "Is this really going to work? or are we doomed?" which well, without the help of other legendaries you would of been definitely doomed.

+FL.Remix I disagree -- the battle against the creator could potentially be as terrifying as a battle against the destroyer. Imagine if you were placed in the presence of either God or Satan (running with the Christian deities just for example's sake) and forced to battle whichever you were in front of -- as a mere human, I would be terrified in either situation.

FL.Remix I know :P But in addition to Xerneas' position, its design could be intimidating in real life, too -- imagine the staring into the glaring eyes of a large, blue, stag... It glowing with its radiant power, and its towering antlers easily capable of injuring you grievously, not to mention its magical power. It would be one of those sights that are beautiful and wondrous in and of their danger. The prowess of a hunting tiger is rather magnificent, for example. You just have to put the design in the right light! In the same way, Yveltal has the potential to be magnificent through its design. Assuming it were not stirred or hostile, it would be an intriguing experience to approach the gargantuan wyvern... To touch its wing, and examine its glory. The two legendaries' designs are put in opposite lights by default, but you can easily put them in the other light with your imagination, and I think if you try that you'll be able to find Xerneas equally as menacing as Yveltal, and Yveltal equally and mystical as Xerneas.

Fun fact: this song's name according to the in-game jukebox, is "Fight with Yveltal and Others!" As far as I know, you never actually fight Xerneas (you get to play as him by completing a certain sidequest). As for the "Others" stated in the name, they are three pokemon whose identities I won't reveal in order to avoid spoilers, but you fight them alongside Yveltal. Hence, this is Yveltal's battle theme, not Xerneas'.

It also plays against Darkrai and Giratina in the post-game, so those technically count as the “others” in the title as well. They’re not the “others” that fight alongside Yvetal, though.

I personally love this separate theme for Yveltal. Sounds a lot more sinister than the one for both it and Xerneas from X and Y. 1:28 is especially epic, especially with that sort of pulsing electronic noise in the background.

Super Mystery Dungeon is the easiest game in the series for me. Maybe I chose the wrogng starters in Portals but it was much more difficult. And I even played it after SMD. The problem with SMD is that you can get reviver seeds without a problem. Lot's of them. You can cheese through every battle.

Team: Chespin (Hero), Piplup (Partner), Pichu (after Yveltal) Yes, non-evolved. Yveltal 1st time: Got rekt by Oblivion Wing 2nd time: I banned his attack (dunno the name of this seed) by the cost of one tiny-reviver and a few extra members. Still a tough fight. Giratina Pretty easy, to be honest. Just watch out to NOT get hit by his signature attack. It's easy to avoid when you use combo attack on the corner hitbox of Giratina. One step to dodge, one step to go back. Darkrai I took the hard way and was NOT immune to sleep. So... if all my 3 members went asleep, we took 60-75 damage within 4-5 rounds plus his additional attacks. If I hadn't had a save point with me, I would be dead for sure. I attempted this 3 times. 1st time went horrible with the cost of 6 tiny-reviver. 2nd time was a nightmare. My entire team fainted. 3rd time went suprisingly easy. No revivers used. I wonder how strong Black/White Kyurem are. I'm still struggling against Reshiram+Zekrom. I refuse to use other members than the one on the top because it doesn't feel... "challenging" and "rewarding" to me if I would change it.

This plays when you fight the real Giratina? It didn't for me. I made it through Zero Isle recently and the normal legendary battle theme just played for him. It played for Darkrai, though, as a reference to his evil phase in the Explorers games.

This is the bad thing about Explorers of Sky, it sets your expectations for the later games unreasonably high. Gates wouldn't be so despised it it came out before this.
