Love this song too! Glad she still sings even if its just friends at a karaoke bar. Hawaiians/Pacific Islanders got soul too! Had my first kiss with a classmate of mine to this song, at a pizza parlor we all met at on our last day of school in the sixth grade. We never dated, we weren't allowed to at that age of course. That summer though we'd always run into each other at skating rink we'd hang out at, every time they played this, she would always sneak up and put her arm around my waist and skate around the rink with me!
