So basically Yhwach´s plan was 1. Invade Soul Society to steal bankais and kill Yamamoto 2. Shit on Ichigo for a little bit 3. Initiate second invasion 4. Have quincies use bankais that they stole, even though the Bankais nerf them and make it impossible for them to use their full power. 5. Have quincies lose the bankais that they stole. Which was part of the plan, because he only wanted his soldiers to have the bankai so the shinigami could feel despair. Twice. Once when they lose their bankais and then again when they get them back to, where they will lose to the Vollständig ( which doesnt happen ). 6. Sit on uncomfortable stone chair, do nothing 7. Have no way to enter The Soul King´s palace. Bet on characters coming back to Soul Society from training up there, so that the gates to the Soul King´s palace open. Enter Soul Society with your chosen few. 8. Have all the chosen few get rected. Which he knew would happen, cause he literally provide them their powers. 9. Take all the power from Quincies remaining on the ground and give to royal guard after they´ve already been wrecked. Which he could have done immediately, as he knew his royal guard wouldnt stand a chance anyway and he was always going to do that. Am I alone in thinking this is breathtakingly stupid?

@pogo8050 Have you only watched the anime? There’s a twist coming with Ywach (The Almighty) that explains how he has planned so meticulously. And he had 1,000 years to do so. There was a hint at the end of the season where he says something to Ichibe. It isn’t what you think he said.

1. That's only part of it. It was also to spread slivers of his soul that would be absorbed by the Soul Reapers. This is mentioned in the manga, but is cut from the anime. When Quincy die, Yhwach gains their life and power. By spreading his soul during the first invasion, EVERYONE, who dies from then on, gets absorbed by Yhwach upon their death, making him that much stronger. 2. He wanted to take Ichigo to the Wandenreich to be turned but failed due to Aizen messing up his sense of time. 3. Wait for the appropriate time and then invade for real. Timing is very important to his plan. 4. Captains can't fight Bankai without bankai, so the Quincy didn't need their Volsterndigs. It was a guaranteed win for the Quincy. 5. He didn't intend for them to lose the Bankai they stole, he just knew it was only a matter of time before the Soul Reapers managed to regain them. However, this only frees the Sternritter to use their true power. Soul Reapers feel despair because regaining Bankai would give them hope, only to find out that it merely lets them fight back, they're still in dire straights. 6. Gather strength while everyone kills eachother. 7. Plan on Ichigo returning and breaking open the path to Soul Palace. Like I said, timing is very important to his plan. 8. The Schutzstaffel only got rect because they didn't take Oetsu seriously. Only Askin did and he would have killed Oetsu if not for Kirinji. Had Gerard, Lille and Pernida been on guard like Askin, they wouldn't have been killed. Though, Gerard being so reckless makes sense considering his ability. 9: not just power, life. Lille specifies that the power they gained was insignificant, what really mattered was the fact that they were brought back and given the chance to actually use their powers. This time they all, not just Askin, actually take the 0 Division seriously and even use their Volsterndigs to show that they're going all out this time. 10. That's when the important timing of his plan really comes into play.

@@corruptangel6793 1.. Fair enough 2. Fair enough, though the “Aizen messing with his perception of time” meme is a lame storytelling excuse to get him out of there it’s mechanically functional. 3. He didn’t benefit in any way from doing the invasion a second time. The first invasion he had momentum, the second one, the quincies get absolutely trounced and the only reason he succeeds any objectives is that he and he alone has completely broken abilities. He didn’t benefit in any way from timing it “better”. 4. Except none of the quincies won in the end and fizzled out into nothing the second the Bankais came back. Like yeah, in a vacuum the bankai stealing makes sense and could have made for a really cool piece of storytelling, which is implied with the whole shikai mastery( which leads nowhere and is reversed within 10 chapters of the first Shinigami failing to win due to his lack of bankai). It reaches imbecile status when you take point 5 in mind. 5. So exactly what I said; he expected them to get it back, he planned for that and in inexplicably nerfed his soldiers, leading to two of them being defeated for specifically using the bankai. Instead of just circumventing this ridicolous rigamarol and just instantly killing the Shinigami with the Vollständig, which he was completely confident they would be able to. 6. Correction; while the Shinigami kills his entire army. None of the Quincy manage to do anything significant to hurt the Shinigami. 7. So his plan hinges on pure dumb luck and if none of the Shinigami had entered the Royal Palace he would have no way of entering and everything he had been doing would have been in vain? 8. Why tf would you place such unreliable buffoons in your inner circle, where they are literally not on their guard when invading the headquarters of the enemy’s palace with the most powerful beings in the universe defending it? This makes not a lick of sense, even for how unintentionally idiotic Yhwach comes across, this is an embarassing excuse. 9. That makes them and especially Yhwach look even worse than if he had just been wasting everyone’s time not snatching the other quincies mana batteries. We go from “tedious and impractical” to “absolutely bonkers clown logic”. The Yhwach we learn about in the early series who murders his minions for absolutely no reason would not give anyone a second chance if they failed this hard due to their negligence. 10. This doesn’t mean anything. Elaborate.
