No matter what you ride, the 2 stroke will always sound and smell better

250 probably puts down better times, more used to that bike at the moment!

How are you? It looks like your having loads of fun on both your bikes. For someone like myself who is just trail and woods riding how often do you think a top end needs to be done. I keep my oil changed and my plugs fresh. I do not complete in any races. Also just wondering. Do you work for Yamaha?
@akmoto_3 жыл бұрын
What type of bike? Smaller bore bikes are generally ridden harder and need servicing more often. Biggest sign it’s time to do a top end is low compression or burning oil.

The 250 is a ticking time bomb, you live on the rev limiter
@akmoto_3 жыл бұрын
250’s are literally made to be rev’d out, they don’t have the power to just lug around everywhere. I maintain my bike very well, the complete opposite of a “ticking time bomb”. I don’t think you know what you are talking about.
@Max-vj9ml3 жыл бұрын
@@akmoto_ it doesn’t matter if it’s meant to be rev’d out when you hit the rev limiter, you are floating the valves and that how you blow up your bike
@akmoto_3 жыл бұрын
@@Max-vj9ml IF I was floating the valves, the engine would've failed already. The rev limiter is there to prevent valvetrain damage, and is designed with a bit of a margin for error. Basically what I'm saying is the rev limiter will not allow the engine to exceed safe RPM.

@@akmoto_I get what ur saying and that’s true however I think u got it mixed up Four strokes have more low end power, 2 strokes are the ones u want to be pinned on all the time cuz they lack low end power in the smaller cc’s
