What kind of hours were on this bike? Does this kid change his oil before it's black? Was the cam chain bad? Was the tensioner bad or weak? For confirmation, did you check the cam timing before you pulled it down? Is the clutch basket bearing toast or is there excessive wear on the basket? Was that an oem clutch fiber or some aftermarket (which brand if aftermarket)? Sorry for all the questions but the answer to those would be nice to know. Thanks for posting, I enjoy your content.

Not quite sure about hours on the bike. I seriously doubt the oil is changed before it turned black. Yes, the cam chain was bad and replaced. (Found a piece of clutch plate with a perfect mark of the cam chain. In other words I found the piece that got caught in the cam chain.) The tensioner was good. I did not check the timing. It needed to come apart any way to get the chunks out so I just took it apart. Normally I would have checked. Clutch basket was good. Not really sure what brand of clutch was in the bike but as I recall it was an owner assembly mistake. It was ridden hard which caused a clutch plate to be broken and when the owner when to service it they didn’t investigate far enough to see what happened to the missing clutch plate. Hope I answered all your questions:/ I am answering with a year of memory fog that has been building since I fixed that bike. I appreciate your support👊🏼

@Heavy Shoulders All good man. Was wondering because a cousin of .ine just got a new yz250f. Just curious what to watch for or stay away from. Thanks for the reply & keep the vids coming. 👍

No problem man!! I think that bike I worked on was a really rare case. I think your cousin will be alright. As long as bikes are maintained and not abused they last a long time. That’s my opinion though.. wish your cuz the best of luck with the new bike!
