according to korean youtuber..forehand topspin is just your forehand drive but you lower your stance..just like coach ert said on this video you do your fh drive first then lower your centre gravity.the topspin comes naturally and try not to change your backswing..different people have different technique..thats why chinese is the best..they have many small details and micro adjustment..tq coach ert

Hello coach❤️ I have a question for you, I had a problem with backspin ball on the table, it was difficult to attack so I learned to flick with the backhand but it was so easy for the opponent to counter/block my flick. What makes Lin Yun Ju and Harimoto's backhand flick different from other chinese players? And also how to do such a backhand flick like Lin Yun Ju/Harimoto? Thanks🙏🏻 and sorry if theres bad English❤️
@pingsunday3 жыл бұрын
Lin YunJu and Tomokazu backhand is much more faster and more aggressive than others. They are trained to apply pressure right after the serve

Partial impulse coordination principle. When it is intended to impress a foreign (mobile) body or the same body a great speed, all the parts of the body used as acceleration agents must reach their maximum speed at the same moment. the velocity vectors of the centers of gravity of all parts of the kinetic chain must point to it. This principle is done by the Chinese, with the aim of adding the hand-racket as the last link. but it does not start at that moment, it comes from the initial position of the active phase (backswing)

How do I differentiate between the forehand counter hit , forehand drive and the forehand topspin? Where do I fix in the term forehand loop?
@georgeosborn4213 жыл бұрын
Forehand drive should have a little spin to help it play consistently, forehand counter should be completely flat as there should be no need to play spin, and forehand topspin is rolling your bat over the ball to spin it down onto the table (must generate as much spin as possible)

The most notable difference between the drive and the forehand and / or backhand topspin is that the racket on the topspin must always be below the elbow joint.

Hi coach, when i try to practice my forehand drive, it is extremely smooth. But when i try to practice my forehand loop, it always hits the net. I realized that it was due to my angle of the racket not being good. I use penhold and Wang Hao once said that the index finger controls the angle. But i cant seem to fing the right one. Is there a tip to solve this? Thank you

Do you know the difference between topspin against topsin ball and topsin against backspin ball?
@Wisstihrwas2 жыл бұрын
Its mostly your racket angle and the timing that differentiates. For topspin against backspin balls, you have to open your bat more and taking the ball later as for a normal topsin (on topspin or against a relatively no spin ball). For topspin against topspin you have to close your bat angle more, because otherwise a ball with heavy topspin will just roll up your bat and maybe even fly into the air.
@watson101323 жыл бұрын
Not offense, coach., there is no Z form at all due to your wrist physicals structure unless you are not human being, you may just say relax your wrist before you loop. That's it. Even in your drawing at 5:05, you can't see so called Z form there. Your arrow on right side is just your imaging. There is no Z form when Chinese coaches are teaching table tennis. Ask your Chinese coaches or friends if you have.
@pingsunday3 жыл бұрын
The z form is only the coaching tip to memorize. The true concept is relax your wrist

Topspin is to generate the Topspin attack. Counter Topspin is the shot to hit hard of this attack. When a Topspin ball comes, you have 2 options : block or counter topspin

Why chinese top spin is very different of European top spin ? Chinese top spin starts very down and finish very high. Amplitude of chinese top spin is bigger than European top spin. European top spin is shorter and economic
@mrmahongru3 жыл бұрын
I don't think this video is suitable for beginner. Beginner need to stable their wrist first, when drive or loop. If you play chinese rubber(hurricane 3) you should try this. Different rubber has different style especially tacky and non tacky rubber. Both rubber have different style because of their rubber have different characteristic. Chinese rubber is tacky and hard, it generate its spin by using the tacky of rubber. Non tacky rubber is soft, you need to generate your spin and speed by using the soft sponge and grip surface. If you want to develop a forehand as malong, please use chinese rubber.
