Awesome Rick, I love how you talk about mindset, I think that's so important!!! Thank You for the oil painting review!!!! I was completely overthinking it, and while I need to add those extra steps you do where you built up the layers, I think I'm headed in the right direction, (now I just need a TON more practice) I really like the paint job and weathering with this color scheme, I haven't ventured out much from greens and tans, but the real metal effects in the joints are killer and the grey pre-scratch/chip looked really great. Scratches are RAD!!! Thanks Sir, you are awesome, and I really appreciate how clearly you explain things!!! Take care, Bill

Wow! Both Z’Gok look awesome. Your armored vehicle background allows you to weather the suit in a very unique and appealing way. The pencil highlights are a genius stroke!

It’s pretty cool Rick so it’s good to do a little bit of a change up when it comes to model building.

Nothing wrong with old school chipping. Have you found a particular brand of brush that holds a point well?

I'm using 502 Abteilung brush (the white body) and they are great.

Very cool! I’m hoping to see more Gundam series builds in the future. I personally only build Zeon mobile suits because of the tanky, hefty nature of their designs. I think you should do a rick Dom next.

yes, old school. nice. but the problem is its so time consuming you really have to love the process to go this old school "handmade" way

So true! You do need to be in the mood, but if you are...it can be so fun and even relaxing.
