Great video Norm!! Ive fished a ton of water in Florida and your exactly right. Headwaters fish are some of the strongest fish ive ever hooked into. Thats the difference in a great fishery where those fish have everything they need to become giants. The 5 lbers fight like they are 10 for sure.

So am i not supposed to get grass and weeds stuck on my lure? Im new to fishing with chatter baits. Got 3 fish today but spent more time pulling the grass off it

I do get grass on my lure sometimes. To help me avoid constant grass on lure, I use 40 to 50 pound braid, and I will snatch the lure out of the grass and most of the time the Lure grass free.

@@NormGfishinggenuine question still learning my friend you don’t need more than 20lb line for bass also where do I even find a medium rod that can hold that currently using an abu Garcia combo 6” medium I use 10 lb braid currently because it says 6-12 lb line

It will work without a trailer. The trailer gives it a bigger profile and slows it down some 👍

Tyler, I recommend a 7ft medium action rod.

7' MH will work. A medium rod would be best. A softer rod will allow better hook sets. See you on the water 👊
