Whatever details Lynn picks up while in Europe this summer, I'll install this fall. She expressed a particular interest in cows.

AWESOME!!!!! Excellent job on your layout. Size doesn't matter, it's all in the details and a layout is never done because there is so much detail you can do to it. Keep up the good work.

That is the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. Nice and simple but beautiful as well. I guess they're right: less is more.

Great job. But it is not being run at scale speed. It should be going at about 60% of the speed you have it on and take up to one lap to reach that speed from a standing start, and vice versa for stopping.

This is the first layout I see big waterfalls !!!.

Might be my favorite diorama. Its compact and minimalist, but full of hidden complexity...much like the teensy locos that get driven over them. A full tutorial on how you pulled this off would be great!

You'll find the writeup, "Bringing a Classic Marklin Z-Scale Model Railroad to Life With Arduino," on Make Magazine's site.

As a model railroader, I see most demos of Z gauge running at a scale of about 100mph. It may be difficult to run them slower because of their tiny size.

Excellent Job! Love the arduino integration. Read the article on MAKE.com too. Do you happen to have a blog or site where you might share the arduino code and/or circuit diagram? Regardless great job!

Nice litle layout. I liked the disco lights, what did you use to create it and how do turn them on? Greate detail on the scenery.

Wow! Great video and awesome craftsmanship on many levels. Wish you had been our contractor on the last home remodel...Anyway, I have a simple Märklin Z scale oval layout with a big transformer. I have the Arduino Uno and can blink LED's, but I am seeking to make the leap from that to using the Arduino to control basic Z scale locomotive functions. You've done that and more, so I would be interested in learning the electronics side of your project. Any information re: programming, wiring and necessary parts would be greatly appreciated. Cheers and keep up the good work. BTW-Lynn's story is an added inspiration for my enterprise. -Thanks!

Hey Jeff, great video! What's the name of the song?
@Jeff_Faust10 жыл бұрын
The song is "North Tonawanda Chowder and Marching Society," taken from an old LP by the Lackawanna & Erie Express Band. I have been unable to find any further information on either the song or the band.
